Dry
Dry, fairways are like concrete. To expensive for this course.
Good local course.
Greens came thru winter very good.
Fairways a little bumpy.
Some unique holes that are worth the visit.
Great time...
Despite everything going on right now, we had a great time golfing.'
Course conditions were good and pace was good.
The course is challenging enough to test all the parts of the game.
So nice to be out again.
Daytona golf course
My son and myself played today and had a tremendous time. What a beautiful day it was. 80 degrees and a little breeze.
Enjoyable round...
We did have a great round of golf here. The conditions were excellent and pace of play perfect, so hard to not have fun.
Fairways are wide and the greens were soft. We will be back.
Course was soaking wet and carts were still allowed. Don’t know how they can charge a full price when’s the course was filled with water.
Consistent
Play Daytona about 1-2 a year. You know what you are going to get at Daytona. Scoreable for all types of golfers, puttable greens, inconsistent fairways, decent pace of play. Staff is always pleasant. Price point about average for what you get.
Great track
This course has a unique layout, let’s you use all your clubs. It is short but challenging, greens are true. Great his/ hers course
Really Interesting Course, Play From the Tips
You won't get bored playing a round at Daytona Golf Club. Set in the middle of nicely rolling farmland with moderate tree cover and water in play on a few holes, the course has right and left dogleg holes, long and short holes, and moderate elevation changes. You won't need driver off every tee, but you'll definitely want to use driver on two par 5's that measure 542 and 544 yards from the back tees. Those back tees, by the way, add up to only 6,245 yards, so Daytona is one of the few courses where senior golfers can confidently play “from the tips.” Two other tees are set at 5,318 and 5,245 yards. The fairways are very well maintained and quite firm. Unfortunately, the greens had been aerated about a week before we played, so putting was an adventure. However, it was apparent that they would run fairly fast under normal conditions. The rough was not very high and not very thick, so straying from the fairway was not terribly punitive. Three of our foursome were playing the course for the first time, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide pointed out that the green of the 294 yard par 4 5th hole, a right almost 90 degree dogleg, was only about 250 yards from the tee. One member of our group went for it, and ended up just off the putting surface. The others took the more traditional route and one matched his birdie. The 358 yard par 4 8th looks simple from the tee, but your approach shot must carry a water hazard that protects the green. Happily, you can go for it without having to worry about any bunkers around the green. The 11th is a 363 yard par 4 with a sharp dogleg right at about 200 yards from the tee and a pond paralleling the fairway up to the corner. Long hitters can cut the corner over the pond and leave themselves with a wedge for an uphill approach shot to a smallish green. The rest of us must stay left of the pond on our drive and have a mid to long iron approach shot. The course continues to give golfers interesting drive options and approach shots throughout 18 holes. It's not too far from the Minneapolis, and the greens fees are quite reasonable, with lots of specials. This was my first time playing Daytona Golf Club , but it definitely won't be the last.
Awesome time
We had a great time and will be back. I would recommend to friends and neighbors.
Good track nice greens
Course was in good shape .Greens were good with a moderate pace carts were in good shape as well
Awesome round
Course was in great shape. Staff were very helpful. 18 holes in less than 3 hours with knowledgeable golfers on the course who let us play through and were cheerful about it. AWESOME DAY ON THE COURSE!!!
cost, and staff.
Was impressed with the course. thought the fairways were not as noticeable as I thought they should be. but they were still good. The greens seemed well taken care of. Was impressed that there were hardly as ball marks on them. Seems the golfers take that extra time to repair them here. Cost was excellent. I could have saved the booking fee though if I had just called for a tee time though. Still it is a course I will go back to.
a good value for your money
The course was in pretty good shape. I really like the greens. To me they were in great shape to what I am use to seeing. Cost was good also but should have just gone to pro shop instead on line. Would have been a couple bucks cheaper. Pace was slow. Got stuck behind a 3 some who refused to let me play through. Would get up set with me if they felt I was hitting to soon behind them. Should do a better job with setting a good pace to everyone moves at a nice pace without waiting 5-10 minutes behind slower players
Greens are beautiful!! Keep your drives straight!!
Knowing the course surely helps, but it was in very good condition and the greens were fantastic!!! We got our tee time on LastMinuteGolfer for a price of $19.00@ which included 18 holes and cart. Incredible deal and it was a perfect day!! Doesn't get any better then that!! :)))
Nothing special
The course is just a basic not to challenging course. Ground was very hard and a lot of brown grass. I don't want to bash the course. A good course for women, juniors and seniors I would say.
