This course has great features

Right from the time you step on the first elevated tee, you gaze upon the beauty of the and realize you are in for a treat. Each hole has its own uniqueness and difficulty. The course can play moderate to very difficult. The greens are small but create many challenges. They can challenge the best of the best if you over think them. It would be impossible to fit all of the courses features in one review. This course is a great place to get away to play a quick 18 and not break the bank.

Your knowledge of the course seems extremely high. Have you ever seen a course with three more devastating dog leg rights? Makes me weak in the knees just thinking about them.

Blooming Prairie Country Club: The Royal Portrush of the Midwest

The only explanation for this golf gem to yet remain uncovered is that it's course layout boasts just nine holes. Many snobbish golfers refuse to even play 9-hole courses because they "want something different" in their second round. Those who have played this majestic course know all too well that there will always be something different in your next 9. From the myriad of side hill fairway lies to mysterious changes in speeds and breaks of putts due to wind shifts and glen front influenced barometric pressure swings, BPCC is destined to give even the most seasoned golfer fits. Originally constructed in 1936, BPCC is a par 36 course which reads relatively short on the scorecard, however, don't let that fool you. Both of its par fives are well under 500 yards, but don't plan on getting there in two. Number one is uphill, and should you make it over the marsh onto the fairway you will likely trickle into the pine trees on the left and be taking your approach to the green completely blind. Hole number six adjacent the rustic clubhouse, opens with a tee shot that you're almost better off hitting a knockdown four iron to thread the needle of the tree lined shoot. If you're lucky, your drive comes up short of the creek where you have a downhill hard pan lie into a green the size of your living room. Should you hook your drive You could be on the other side of the creek near number 9 fairway completely plugged in marshland. This is just one example of the ecological anomaly that is Blooming Prairie Country Club. All this said, this reviewer does not want to scare anyone away from this midwestern golf cathedral. Anyone who's anyone simply must give "Little Golf on the Prairie" a shot. Just make sure to bring plenty of balls.
