Great old style course
This was a great course to take my teenager to. The holes have some challenges but it is not soul crushing for a beginning player. I would recommend this for a quick relaxing round of golf.
golf
nice course for the money.touted as following the St Joe River only one hole really has the river.not really what I thought it would be by the description.
Unique blend of hole designs
Two distinctly different nines. The front nine is tiny, cramped in a few spots and the back is very long and spread out. Lots of tree-lined fairways and strategic opportunities on par 4's throughout the course. Clubhouse could use some modernization but the course is fun. Old-school green complexes...many have steep runoff areas and tricky bunkers.
Great older course
Been around for 90 years, yet I had never heard if it. The greens were small and challenging, fairways were well manicured while the tee boxes needed a little work. For the price, it was a great deal! * Bring the bug spray though *
Not a bad course
Overall a decent course. Some of the greens needed some attention but other then that the rest was in good shape
interesting course
i have been forced to play it over the last few years for school, and have always tried to keep a positive attitude about the place but have never been impressed. the greens run slow, and they are also not well maintained. they have many dead spots on them. the layout looks like they had to squeeze a course into a small hilly spot of land next to train tracks and a small highway, which are your focal points of the front 9. the back nine is better than the front in layout, but still lacks quality and maintenance. Overall it is a very short course that is very tight. it may have been a very nice course at one time but now seems to be run down.
Nice course, greens need work
Not a bad course, overall condition was good, greens were bumpy, pitted and cracked. Made putting overly difficult. Would recommend to others if greens were repaired.
Did not live up to expectations.
I use to have a membership here. The greens were in pretty rough shape and that was very disappointing. Maybe it was to early in the season or the hard summer last year whatever it was I hope they get it turned around. The course has some interesting and challenging holes.
Fair for the price.
Played early in season. Greens were rough, sand traps need work. Over all what you would expect from an inexpensive course.
