Lacks any attention to detail
The course was torn up in dozens of places by skunks looking for grubs. Fairways were nearly indistinguishable from rough and at least 1.75" long having not been mowed for days. Par 5 #14 doesn't even present as a playable golf hole and needs better drainage and definition from the tee box view. Greens were pristine but due to the course migrating into Fall mode they were at most 8 on a stimp and making putts from outside 8 feet wasn't doable .....Great possibilities here but it needs TLC
Super wet
The back 9 is a swamp, they have pumps on a few holes but overal there are 2 holes just too wet to play. They made some new tee boxes that make the course a little more fun but the back 9 kills this course
Bunkers
Terrible terrible, stones and rocks in them. Very little sand if any in them. Our cart ran out of power.
I do not think we will be going back any time soon.
Very Dry and Rock Hard
They only water the greens and part of the fairways. Tee Boxes are so hard we had to pound the tee into the groung with a club. Lots of bare spots. Poor conditions.
It was so bad I actually quit after 9 holes even though had already paid for 18..By other three buddies kept on and said the back 9 was no better.
Clearly a course going downhill
This course has 18 holes
This course has 18 holes. Some open some tight some dry some wet.
Nice course for a fair price
Greens are in very good condition. Fairways are in good shape for the most part. Sand traps are inconsistent but in average shape. Overall the course layout is quite nice and its always fun playing this course.
average
Nothing special...if you want to play a round of cheap golf here it is. Not a difficult or hilly so no special or signature holes.
Good Course for the Money
Course has improved over the last couple of years. Not in great shape, but hard to beat for the price. Nice people.
Great value
I've played this course 4-5 times and even though it's a bit of a drive from Kalamazoo (25 min), we always go back. The staff is mostly young people who are very nice and courteous. Overall it's a great value and very much recommended.
Nice course
One of my favorite courses. Friendly staff, good bang for your buck
Indian Run
In great shape. Greens were a touch slow for me but I like really fast greens. they rolled well.
Got rained out after 13 holes
good course but...
The course is in great shape and the only negative I can say is that it was full that day and there were several groups in front of us that were playing some sort of scramble event but still took a lot of time and slowed play considerably. They only played 9 and once they left the pace picked up but it was still a 5 hour round which greatly diminished what should have been an enjoyable round
Indian Run
Enjoyed my round. Got hit with a bit of rain, but still a nice afternoon of golf.
Great value for the $
Green speed was about right. Some holes on the back nine are very wet, giving some pretty bad lies.
Does not have computer system
Course is in decent shape, definitely worth the $17 for 18 holes. However, they do not have a computer system to know that I used Golfnow to book online. Good thing they were not busy, or who knows what they would have done.
greens were in very good shape all of them.(real nice)
i think all the rain we have had hurt maybe 3 fairways but still nice to hit off from.its just that they had a few brown spots.but for the money very nice
Not in good condition although I've heard it's imoroving over previous years, Club house personnel was not friendly.
Will not go back! Club house staff made us feel as though we were a burden upon him.
The course is mature and challenging but very playable for an average golfer.
The first time to Indian Run in a long time and the course was in very good condition. Played at a good pace finishing in under 4 hours. The deal on golf now was excellent.
Excellent Greens
Indian Run is a long course,16/18 holes are in excellent shape. Their are 2 holes, in a low area that suffer if it rains. The greens are about the best in the area.
