Centennial Farms Bellaire Michigan
Course was Ion nice condition big improvement since I played a tear ago.
Beautiful, scenic course with lots of rolling hills. Fairways, greens and tees were in great shape. Rough was not as overly long as a previous reviewer described it, but it was thick (how can you tell a place not to grow their grass so thick?) and there were a couple areas where the clippings were left laying there, but not a big deal. Biggest complaint I have is the lack of yardage markers. Sprinkler heads not marked and even the basic 150 and 100 yard markers were hard to see sometimes. Overall, in an age of some overpriced golf, this is a great course for not a lot of $$$.
Appropriately priced
The course is not bad but in an area with a ton of great courses it’s tough to recommend this one. I give high marks for effort as there are multiple reviews citing how much it’s improved over the years. But for me...I can’t recommend it. The greens and bunkers are nice. The fairways are just short of ok. The big issue is the rough. It’s generally unplayable. Too many bare spots and grass clippings. The ride on the carts is bumpy as can be. It’s a nice layout with lots of potential. Nice enough driving range and putting green and is pleasant enough. But I wouldn’t pay over $25 to play it in its current state.
Great course, great value!!!
I haven’t played this course in at least 30 years - it used to be called the Farm. It is a beautiful course!!! Green were in really good shape! For $26.00 for 18 as a hot deal on Golf Now, it was an incredible value!!! Worth every penny to beat my husband by 9 strokes. We will definitely play here again!!!
Value is unbeatable
New owners have done a great job cleaning up the course.
Golf Day
All good, greens & fairways in great shape- we will play this course again!
Great family course!!!
Price, Pace, People and Product well worth a round here.
Nice Course
Golfers, Staff and Course were great.
Challenging greens and lots of terrain changes.
Will play again.
Big improvement Under new owners
Second cut is nonexistent....plays like a US Open. Greens are in good shape . More par 3’s than normal......
Worried that it was closed!
My friends and I often play on this course, and I was worried that it was closed forever due to renovations and inaccurate google feed. The course changed its name from the Farm to Centennial, and in that change, the course I thought got better! The greens were well kept up and there’s always someone out keeping it up! Staff was friendly and course was clean. Great alternative to Shanty Creek if you’re looking for a better value. Will come back now that we know it’s not closer, but transformed!
Not too shabby
Not too shabby for the money. Eager to see what some time and care will turn this course into. This is a fun little course to play with plenty of scoring opportunities.
. Pleasantly Satisfied
Really enjoyed playing this course for the first time. Tee boxes, fareways and greens were in good shape. Good golfing for a great price!
Should get better
Course was in generally poor condition due to lack of upkeep. New ownership appear to be making substantial capital investment, (ie. updated/new irrigation, better mowing etc...). Greens had some dead areas and the fairways need work. Seeing the manpower and work going on leads me to believe they will get it back in shape soon.
Good vaule now getting better every day
It was an excellent course for the money. New owner is putting a lot of effort in improving the conditions. They were supposed to get a liquor licence that day. Looking forward to fall golf
The farm name is appropriate
Rough greens-very slow. The course layout is good Been golfing this course for 5 plus years. It was previously in very rough shape -not well maintained. Two rears ago new owners took over and course is much improved. Greens still need to be sped up. One needs to really hit the putter
Fun
Great course for my family. 2 completely different 9s. Front more like a links course. Back is true "up north". Great staff. Greens could use some work. Overall, I will be back.
Nice layout
Greens and fairways were in great shape but could have been cut lower. Still very playable. Layout is interesting, somewhat challenging with 200 yd par 3s. Staff is very friendly. Definitely worth it.
