Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 2015.
Ann Arbor Country Club originally opened in 1928. The traditional layout is shorter than most modern golf courses but it shouldn't be underestimated. A variety of hazards come into play including a network of streams that weave through the layout. The golf course is mostly open but there are a few patches of dense woods to contend with. The small, crowned greens will challenge even the most advanced players. They play fast and they're usually elevated or guarded by bunkers or trees. You'll encounter a few blind shots but they'll be the least of your worries. You're quickly introduced to the golf course's difficulty with tough back-to-back par 5s as the opening. The layout has several unique hole designs that will test your creative shot making skills and your ability to think strategically.
