Trying to be something it's not ,don't waste your time or money
I have played top rated courses private , resort and public all over the country and out of the country the conditioning of this course is fair at best .. layout tricked up to look good and play not so good .. staff some act like they are doing you a favor by letting you play there .. pace of play is extremely slow .. trash on many holes .. greens and frairways divot ridden .. overpriced .. understaffed .. underconditoned .. this place is no Pinehurst .. Hilton Head .. or Kiawa .. save your time and money
Nice course just not worth the money
First time playing there. This course from any of the restaurants looks amazing! The greens were in rough shape. Seems like no one ever fixes divots and ball marks on the course. It looked pretty beat up out there. Also a lot of trash on the course. I’m super surprised by both because people pay $150 a round there. You’d figure golf etiquette would be a thing. I got it on a hot deal so it wasn’t a bad deal. But I would never play full price to play there.
Best in the metro area
Great shape after the inclement weather. Beautiful course.
Narrow and short
Very nice course but feels like an executive course and the pricing was very high. The facilities are very nice and bar scene is great.
Public Course, Private Conditions
Staff was friendly and accommodating, and helped provide me with the best golf experience possible. From check-in, to cart return I was treated like a member. If you have a few moments before your round take a second and talk with the starters. They can offer you valuable advice for the layout, and are always a great conversation. I’ve played 4x and his year, and it seems as though the pace of play has improved. The best part about this course, in my opinion, is the greens. They are smooth, roll true, and are FAST. Make sure to spend some time on the practice green prior to your round, it’ll help!
Great course layout and condition
Wonderfully maintained. Great layout. Easier than it seems. The only draw back is the pace of play may be slow. Don’t try twilight if you want to finish before dark.
Some shots are blind shots on the course specially on Granite course . We’ve been hit by the foursome behind us . They should be a signal of some sort to notify the group behind us that we cleared the hitting zone. Thanks
Never disappointed
This course has amazing views. It was in great shape even after 14 straight days with rain. Not a puddle to be found on the course. Greens were immaculate. Not a bad lie on the course.
The rough was very thick. Tough shots if you hit into it: the bunkers were in great condition. Can’t wait to play here again. It’s one of my favorite hangout spots as well. Great food and drinks with great atmosphere.
Everything and more...with one item less
From check in, to the range, to the putting greens, to Joe the starter...all FIRST CLASS...carts as advertised with GPS, USB and speaker ports, and a nice cooler filled with ice...and it was needed on a day with the heat index at or above 100...
Definetly a challenging course, and not one I can honestly see a lot of high handicappers feeling good about their play...what with constant elevation angles from tee boxes to fairways, then up, to greens...once MUST have a good command of all clubs to score well...the scenery will distract you for sure, so bring the camera/phone along...
For the GOLF NOW/GOLF PASS folks only...please, please look at the rate differential from the rate on your site, and that of GRANITE LINKS for ..SENIORS...what a difference...next time I play, and I WILL play it, I will book DIRECTLY with them...and the monies saved, will go toward the 19th hole...LOL
Great Course, better hit it straight!
This course was in perfect condition and was a great challenge. Beware though, if you don't hit straight this course will eat you alive. There are no trees and lots of wind because it is a links course but the lack of trees is made up for my narrow landing areas and tall grass, rock formations, blind reservoirs, and exterior woods. The wind is also strong and swats down high hit balls. If you can drive long and straight off the tee it makes for a challenging but amazingly fun experience. I loved it and want to play again soon!
Love Granite but dissapointed
I love playing Granite, but I don't like paying full price for a twilight round we didn't finish and greens as slow as ever. Not finishing even though it was a full rate was disappointing as well. They need to lower it earlier in my opinion.
Excellent course!!!
This is second time we played this course. It is beautiful and it is worth of the money. Will play there again.
Granite Links again
nice nice course. thought so close to Boston surrounded by nature and great 19th hole options. If in Boston, play Granite Links
