Furnace Brook
Very hilly, tee shots are blind which is tough if playing the course for the first time. Greens were fabulous and fairways were nice. 9 hole course and I could have played 18 but didn't want to play it again. Nice course if you want to get outside for practice. Staff wasn't the friendliest but wasn't rude. He didn't seem pleased that I played for 16 dollars thru Golfnow.
Real nice 9 hole course
I have played furnace Brook many times in the past and find this course a very good test for a low handicap player . It is a short course yardage wise, however you need to know your specific shot distances for good course management. The greens were real honest and held a good approach shot.I enjoyed the staff & we will be back for sure.
Best Value and Excellent Condition
The best value as it included both a cart and golf under $30 and the tee box, fairways and greens were all in excellent condition
Nice 9 Hole Course
The course was in great condition. The greens are definitely the best and most challenging part of this course. All of the greens are undulating which sets up many fun and difficult putts. The course itself is very hilly and it would be tough to walk. No par 5's and one par 3. Pro shop staff was friendly.
Hidden Gem
This course has surprisingly nice conditions and gets better each week. Nice little 9hole course to play at a great deal close to the city. Hidden gem.
Great track but punched greens
I have played Furnacebrook many times and thoroughly enjoy this track it is tight and short which requires all clubs with many side hill lies. the course was in great shape however the greens had just been punched and sanded and they were no fun at all to putt. however I would highly recommend this course to any level player, you need to know how to hit every type shot. I am sure these greens will be awesome within a week or two
Very nice course, Greens are fantastic
My home course, Greens are small and challengingly fast. Not a long 9 holes. First hole you can drive with a great tee shot, have done it before.
Average
Expect random old retirees to cut in front to "play a couple holes" every 3 or so holes.
Fun
Short course with some quirky holes. Every hole is different. Greens are nice. Is it the best course around? No. But it is a fun place to play.
