Reviews
A little wet, but still a great value; greens were good, staff awesome, despite some standing water on a few holes…a great day on the course.
Quirky...but a lot of fun!
I love this course. It is in excellent condition, much better than courses that cost three times of Little Marion. Staff is always friendly and the pace of play exactly the way it should be.
FUN!
Little Marion is one of the more unusual courses around, featuring hazards like stone walls in front of greens and fairway-wide berms that virtually guarantee a lost ball on a few holes. It's funky like an old Scottish tract. If you hit your ball straight, you've got little to fret. Course is in much-better shape than when ownership took over a couple years ago. No longer a cow pasture.
Great value
I arrived early, the friendly staff allowed me to play when ready. The course is well maintained and in good condition. The only problem was the wet spots in the fairway due to the large amount of rain the previous few days. Give it 2 dry days and it is not a problem.
Challenging
Have played this course several times and have found it to be very challenging. The course has many obstacles to overcome and makes you more eager to return and do much better on your next round. Greens and fairways have improved. Staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to returning.
Great course
Have played this course several times and have always been satisfied. This course presents challenges for all type players. Very friendly staff. Looking forward to returning
Great 9 hole course
The course has been well groomed throughout the season, especially now that we haven't had constant rain. Staff freindly and atmosphere of the course is relaxed
Wonderful Golf Course
Marion Golf Course is an incredibly fun golf experience—from the course itself to the friendly staff. There's a sense of warmth at the golf course; everyone I've met there, from playing partners to employees, has been so nice. And as a golf architecture nerd, it's cool every time to play a George C. Thomas golf course! You hit all types of shots and play in a great part of Marion, too.
I love this course and the staff who work here are outstanding. The course was in pristine condition...the only issue was with the pace of play but that happens. A tremendous value!!!
Very unique course. Old farm with stone walls to hit over makes course challenging for women. But we enjoyed our round.
Great track!
I play MGC regularly and it never disappoints. The greens are excellent and the layout is interesting. The course feels very real and natural. Will and his staff are friendly and welcoming to all. They also keep an eye on the course to make sure the pace of play is reasonable. This course is suitable for all levels of experience -- everyone enjoys playing here and I'm sure you will, too.
