A great experience!
This was one of the better fall golf experiences Ive had. The other golfers were super friendly. The staff were the most welcoming I’ve encountered (even spotting me a couple balls before my round). I got a full 18 in under 3 hrs. Will definitely be back!
Very friendly pro shop and grounds crew. Good job grounds crew with all the rain we've had.
Good Bang for Your Buck
Played my first round here on Sunday morning. I’ll get the negatives out of the way first. There are a few greens with areas under repair, and yes the cart paths are incredibly bumpy. The course was very soft, but with all of the recent rains I can’t hold that against them.
Now for the positives: Outside of those few greens, the rest of the course was very well maintained. The elevation changes, length of certain holes, and doglegs make for a number of risk/reward shots and gives players multiple ways of playing the same hole. The staff was very friendly. But most importantly was the price point. You’re going to find very few courses within 75 minutes of Boston where you can get 18 and a cart on a weekend for under $50. Let alone a course that was in as a good of a condition as this one was. There’s plenty of courses that charge way more that are in far worse condition.
May be one of the worst courses I’ve ever played. Design is terrible and the cart paths are nothing short of awful. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else
Good Course for Hackers
This is a great course for beginners and hackers. The worst overall part of this course is the pace of play. Someone needs to enforce the players. Constant standing and wasting time. If you're a golfer this isn't for you. If you're looking to slap clubs around and get outside you might like it. But it's not for anyone who is experienced, or into golf. Which is sad... because the staff is very friendly, and you can see the potential. However, the course is minimally managed. Tee boxes are rough and sloped, the course is decent in some areas like fairways, but most greens are like sponges and very soft. I wish there was a little more TLC and $$ put into the place as it could be a fun little course.
Terrible conditions
This course had terrible conditions. The course was shaggy everywhere, from tee box to greens. The greens were very slow and shaggy. The carts were old and rundown, as were the cart paths. Looks like no money is going into this course. I’m addition to poor conditions , the pace of play was terrible with no rangers. I won’t not recommend t, even at its low price.
Great value
Some tee boxes and greens are rough but for 50 bucks with a cart on the weekend it’s a great deal
Nice public course
Challenging enough
A few greens were rough but a great course at this price
Was not busy and play was great
After all the rain the past few days the course was in decent shape. One green was very soft from the rain and wet conditions and several greens are dealing with slight problems. The fairways and rough were cut and the greens were also cut but somewhat slow. the cart paths are in need of work but overall it was certainly worth the price considering what other courses are getting to play..
Great course. Best value imho.
This is a great course with alot of different challenges. Pace of play has been great and the staff are very friendly. My only negative is that the cart path will loosen your fillings but it's because of the topography and I think they do what they can to reduce but you will be well advised to stay off them as much as possible and save your back. That aside its become my new favorite course in Central mass for the value and will be there again, probably this week.
Cart paths
Worst cart paths and carts if you have a bad back do. NoIt go paths will beat you up
Course is hilly which I like and many blind shots
More sand than grass
A PGA pro couldn’t make a putt on this course. The greens were brown from sand, not lack or water. The kart paths are rough enough to slip a disc in your back. It needs a lot of work. Would not recommend.
