Hole 1: Par-4, 387. Good looking hole, distinguished by its gently bending fairway and big greenside bunker (hidden from view here). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/25/2021

Hole 3: Par-4, 415: Tough driving hole where a pond awaits sliced or pushed approach shots. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/25/2021

The sixth. Number 1 index. Why so hard? The brook forces most to hit 3-wood from the tee, and it’s 575 yards long. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/25/2021

A par-3 that tops out at 206, seventeen requires an accurate tee shot if you hope to get aboard its green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/25/2021

Very Very Bad Shape
Course is in horrendous shape I wouldn’t play here again. Tee boxes are extremely damaged, fairways are patches of dirt / sand, sand traps mud/rock. It’s like they given up on the course. I wouldn’t play it for free again.
Not Great
Course was a disaster. Divots all over the green, the “rough” was dead grass and a lot of sand, fairways were all chewed up, no cart girl. First and last time for me. Only thing nice was I played with a cart for 35$
Very disappointing!
While the greens were in great shape, the tee boxes were absolutely in terrible condition. Fairways were burnt and ground was hard as rock. Pace of play was very slow!
Very disappointed as this used to be a really good course to play.
Meh
Let's start with the cold hard truth: the only grass on the entire course that's worthy of being called grass is on the greens. The greens are well manicured and roll true. Literally everywhere else is burnt. I felt like I was at a Vegas hole in the wall $20 course. During my round today, teeshot I hit 50% fairway, 50% rough. Not once was my ball sitting on grass. Every time it was on rock hard dirt or nuclear burnt dead grass. I looked around for irrigation and found none. They don't water the course. There's no ball washers at all (big negative for me), they stop putting benches at the tees after the 4th hole.
19th hole I was served 2 room temperature hot dogs and a Powerade for 16 dollars.
The only impressive part of this course is the building architecture when you arrive. Everything else is being done better elsewhere for cheaper.
Nothing special
Tee boxes and fairways were in rough shape- I'm sure they are better not in the middle of a hot summer. The greens rolled very nice and are well kept but some of the fringes were patchy and bad. Interesting layout which was nice to change up. Overall I paid 35 for 18 with a cart and can't complain about that. If I paid full price, 50 or 60 I'd be very disappointed
Nice Layout in good shape
I've played Oak Ridge in the past and enjoy the layout. The front nine plays easier than the back - with holes 10, 12 (a par 5) 15 and 18 being quite testy, requiring considerable accuracy before reaching the green.
Unfortunately, I played around 11:00 AM and there was a men's league that started earlier on different holes, and three of these groups kept "cutting in" to play their last 2-3 holes. This led to slower than normal play.
The course conditions were great, and the greens read true and were puttable. I will play Oak Ridge again.
Just OK
The starter could have let us tee off 30 minutes before our tee time, but made us wait. Consequently, 2 singles caught up with us, and we let them play through. Not a single ball washer along the course. Very dry conditions throughout the course. Front nine not a very interesting track, back and forth.
Another good course fading away
I’ve played this course since it opened unfortunately the condition has continued to deteriorate with time. The greens were in great shape and rolled true, unfortunately the drought and lack of serious investment makes for a troubling experience. Needs an infusion of funds and a change over of the lounge lizards, sounds like a used car dealers convention every time I go there, gambles and bs artist who don’t fix their ball marks because they have been members for decades.
Great play
What I enjoy the most is when checking in the staff tells you to go head and play if the tee is open. The staff is very friendly.
