Established in 1898, Baltimore Country Club hosted its first U.S. Open just a year after opening, but that was at the original location. After a land acquisition in the 1920s, the A.W. Tillinghast-designed East Course opened in 1926 and was instantly recognized as a classic. The East Course at Baltimore C.C. has hosted several major championships including the PGA Championship, the U.S. Amateur, the Walker Cup Matches, the Women’s U.S. Open Championship, and the Senior Players Championship.
