Leaf me alone!
Course layoutbis just fine. Pace of play was beliw avg. There were thousands of leafs, in the fairway, on the green, and of cousre in the rough.
Leafs should be blown and stacked in the deep woods. Greens need to be removed periodically.
The groups spent too much time looking balls that shouldn't be lost.
Bowie
Great course. You have to fix the cart paths. Otherwise. Great improvements and the greens are much faster
Enjoyable classic course.
They are making commendable progress each year in reviving this classic golf course. A good place to play. Good value and nice people.
The course is looking better every time I play , But the driving range is in terrible condition and needs to be replaced immediately. .
One of my go to courses
Really like this course. There were a couple groups in front of us that really slowed down the pace (Which I get cause people have to learn) it threw me off of my game which is something I have to work on. Luckily, both groups only played the front so the back nine moved along nicely.
Just wished the cafe was open for the 19th hole.
Delighted with value
Bowie Golf Club can be a little bit outside my normal drive time depending on traffic, so I have not made it a point to play there until now. It was better than I expected and better than numerous local options, so it will definitely work its way into my rotation. Course was in fine shape and greens were good even though they had been recently under maintenance. Nice tee boxes for the most part. Challenging holes with some forced carries but nothing really sadistic. Good flow in terms of hole length and ordering. Pace was great on a Thursday morning even though the weather was great and tee times were mostly booked. Thanks BGC, we will see you again!
Great little public course!
We’ve played this course a LOT, and it is in great shape, specifically the tee boxes, greens, fairways, and bunkers.
Owners need to put some serious attention into the cart path. Too many trees too close to the path: lots of big ruts and bumps.
Owners need to put some serious attention into the range. There are maybe a dozen mats. They are way too close together, and some are pretty warped. A little work would go a long way here. We do not need anything fancy!!
Great course
I enjoyed just cause it was very challenging and tough. I would certainly come back again.
Great hometown golf experience.
I grew up in Bowie (1966-1984). I have not been back to Bowie much since then. Yesterday, I visited my prior neighborhoods, the downtown area, and played a round at the Bowie Golf Club. Great experience. I really enjoyed it. Played with a guy whose uncle taught him golf there. He showed me a tree that he planted a few years ago (and spread his uncle’s ashes under). This experience demonstrated that we all may have our own unique connections to Bowie, but we can share them during a round of golf on this course. Thank you Bowie Golf Club.
Cart paths horrible ..
The starter caused a back up right away .bc course was not to crowded ..Also fairways horrible compared to others played in this area..The greens were ok shape but slow...Tee boxes, fairways, rough and cart paths worse of seen in a while..
Value for money nice course
We played on a cloudy day and the grounds wes wet from the rains. The greens were slow. The course was in a good shape. We liked the course very much. It’s challenging, the pace of play was fast, the staff is very friendly. We will definitely play again.
