The Links At Lighthouse Sound
About
The Links at Lighthouse Sound is an Arthur Hills-designed golf course that covers a scenic and varied terrain. Hills took advantage of not only the beautiful views afforded by the course's location right along the Assawomen Bay, but also the natural diversity of the terrain. He routed the front nine along the bay while the back nine borders the St. Martin's River, through mature hardwoods and pristine marshland. The golf course is home to the longest cart bridge in the country, stretching almost 1,500 feet to bring golfers from the bay-side holes to the marshland holes. It is also the only course in the U.S. with five consecutive holes playing to the same double green. The signature hole is the par-3 fifth, which requires a carry over a marsh to a nearly island green bordered by water on three sides.

Nice Course with Challenges
Overall this is a nice challenging golf course with fantastic views of Ocean City, MD. However, I thought that the price per round was a little steep compared to comparable golf courses in the area. I would play this course again and keep it on my list.
Fabulous experience
The top 100 you can play designation is well deserved. We've played there three times in three years and every round was fantastic. If you can get there, go. It's definitely a life-list course.
Beautiful Course!!
Due to the awesome rewards program of Golf Now, I had the opportunity to play this premium course "for free"! For being Nov, the course was in stellar condition. An Easterly brisk wind was factor on several holes. Lots of challenges and many "risk/reward" opportunities along the course. Greens were great but were surprisingly slower than I expected. Staff were very polite and made the outing a wonderful experience. Get a deal and go play Lighthouse Sound, you'll enjoy it!
tremendous scenic views throughout. excellent course conditions.
No doubt the best overall course I have ever played in the Eastern Shore area.
What a deal to play a course like this!
Found this course on my way to the beach for $21.50/player. I couldn't believe it for this course. The course was in very good shape and has several sets of tees to choose from. The golds are very challenging; but has something for every level. Nice views of the OC skyline and a friendly staff made for a great round. It was made more enjoyable since it was a winning round, as my opponent Ryan didn't present much of a challenge. Better luck next time Bolig!
Great place, great skyline.Greens played very nice take your time when you putt=good round
Great Place.Love this course 1 of the best around!!!!!
Great views of the bay and skyline of Ocean City
Great layout use all the clubs in your bag, also is a lady friendly
Beautiful course!!!
Great course,,, Beautiful views... Glad we got a deal to play for all 4 of us... looking to come back to play again! Had dinner here the night before... Excellent!0103/2013
Beautiful course sitting by the bay in Ocen City, MD.
My wife and I played the course on a Sunday afternoon. We got right out and played without delays. The course is very scenic with challenging holes. I played from the green tees which was more than enough since the wind was blowing off the bay. My wife played the white tees whcih had a few holes with long carries over marsh . Next time she'll play the reds. Great experience!
this course has some of the most spectacular views of the ocean on several holes.
The course is top five in the state. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the course setup. The track was in pristine condition and plays very difficult. You must be accurate and is a shot maker course. There is a lot of marsh and water so bring extra balls. Wayward shots is a lost ball! This was a great golfing experience that I recommend advid golfers must put on the list to play. I got a golfnow hot deal for 40 bucks but the green fees are super pricee! 140 daily.
Great course, but could use some attention around the greens.
Great course, with beautiful views. However the greens need some attention. There were ball marks all over the place and the greens were pretty slow. All and all, I was very happy with the course, but even happier that I used GolfNow to make my tee time and save some money. I would have been very disappointed had I paid full price to place here.
Great course! Good pace of play.
I played the course for the fifth time and I'm always impressed with both the staff and conditions of the course.
The golf course is in very nice condition. Maybe the best since I have been playing here.
This is a really good golf course and a very fair yet challenging layout. The views of OC and bay areas is really beautiful. It deserves to be one of the top 100 golf courses anyone can play.
A great find at the beach
Links at lighthouse sound was a terrific surprise. Much better and more golf friendly than either bayside or bear trap. Staff was tremendous and very accommodating. We loved it and we highly recomend it ..
Course is fun, in good shape with amazing views!
WE WILL BE BACK!
wonderful sights & very playable
We knew course was aerated but very puttable anyway. The breezes and sights were wonderful. Would play at full price.
Excellent course - challenging, beautiful, good condition
The course is beautiful, with great views from every hole. Course was in excellent condition. Greens were true, and soft, but slow. Staff was incredibly friendly and professional. Only downside is price; if this course were anywhere but a vacation destination, it would not warrant a price of $149. For the $55 special, it was a GREAT value; for the standard rack rates, it is overpriced compared to what I see inland.
Great layout and well maintained! Greens were slow!
The course was in great shape. The greens were very slow and uncut! Worth a $ 100 if the greens would have been cut!
Must play if in the OCMD area
Chose to play this course while in OCMD because of the many reviews I read on Golf Now. Unfortunately, we could not get a deal on the rates and ended up paying the full rate of $99 for an 11:30 tee time. After playing the course, we both agreed that it was worth $100+.
Simply put, this course has some of the best views you can ask for. The Par 3 5th was simply stunning with views of the OC skyline and the bay behind the green.
All of the tee boxes and greens were in fantastic shape. The greens were actually some of the SLOWEST I have played in a long time, but I wasn't complaining too much. That just gave a hacker like me a little more room for error.
As a high-handicapper, I was nervous going in that the course was going to nail me, but I ended up shooting about an average score for myself, so don't be weary of people warning of how challenging of a track it is.
I've only ever played one course in the OCMD area, so I can't compare Lighthouse Sound to others all that well, but like I said, I feel that it was certainly worth $100+ to play.
Wow!
Everything it was hyped up to be and more. Course and views were both spectacular!!
