Stunning Maine Oceanside Course

My of my all time favorite golfing experiences anywhere. The par for fourth has one of the closest greens to the ocean I have ever seen. Rocky beaches, blind tee shots, wide fairways and rolling terrain await. There are many holes playing along or with views of Winter Harbor.

I would recommend anyone to play this course and add it to your Maine golf trip.

Golf as it is meant to be. From the clubhouse to the ninth, your tote at Grindstone is about the simplicity and essence of the game. Don’t come here if you expect the synthetic manufactured Arizona golf machine experience. But if you’re interested in views that rival Pebble Beach, in links reminiscent of Scotland, and in a golf experience parallel to “Golf in the Kingdom” then slap the sticks into your trunk and play. Ocean views on each hole, small well maintained greens, and a staff as friendly as any in New England, this is the game in purity and a true golf diamond. There’s a ninety degree dogleg on three and a truly challenging chute from the tee box on nine. There’s a single par 5 and a single par 3. The course is a reflection of the local climate, soft and supple when it’s wet, hard and thin when it’s dry...the way the game not only evolved...but the way Lao Tzu educated “Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.”

Enjoyable

Pretty cool, rustic track. Greens are pretty good, fairways play how they're meant to be. Views of the Schoodic waters are second to none. Go out there, walk, take in the sights and enjoy yourself. Bottom line.
