Terrible course
Bunkers had no sand. Water hazards were dried up. Tee boxes were way too dry. 36 dollars, way over priced for the poor conditions
I love playing this golf course. It is in great condition now, however the pace of play is soooo slow. It would make a huge difference if there was a starter or the people playing knew the rules of golf.
Best shape in a long time
Longview is in excellent shape, best I've seen in several years. Greens are fantastic, the young man working in the pro shop is very friendly.
A slow slog
The course is in decent condition. If you can ignore the broken tee grave yard on every tee box. Greens are in good shape. However the course is littered with trash. But my biggest frustration is pace of play. When we arrived there was 3 groups waiting to tee off. Once we were off it took nearly 6 hours to play. Groups just jump ahead and you’re waiting on every tee box every fairway. If they did a better job of managing the tee sheet it would be a much more enjoyable experience. I gave the pace of play a pass last week but my normal course was hosting an event so we booked to play again and it was just a plodding slog of a round. I would love to see them address but I think I won’t be back for the rest of the year.
Slow pace and course is a dog track
We got stuck behind a couple who was using the round as a lesson for one of the players. After 3 hours and 20 minutes and 12 holes, we quit and found the nearest bar. The course was mowed but it's nothing but whatever grows naturally cut close to the ground. There were many bare patches around the greens and the tee boxes and bunkers were awful.
Busy Sunday. As I was playing solo and I play fast, too many groups of two and four in front of me. At least 4 groups, only one let me play through…. Need to Figure out how to keep hot food available longer in clubhouse/pro shop. Overall great value for money and a great course….
Slow pace
The pace was slow due to a high volume of golfers. We had a ball sail over our cart as we were pulling away from one hole. The guy could not wait an extra 5 seconds to hit. I picked the ball up and tossed it back the way it came from. He sorta apologized but also made a smart remark. Golf etiquette is slipping away.
No reservations
My tee time selected was somehow switched to Monday while I made one for Sunday at 10am... so when I arrived my spot was taken. They were flexible and granted me a tee time for 2 players. But all the while I had to pay for another tee time.. in all I paid for two rounds and played 1
Excellent Greens
Enjoyed the course
Very friendly staff
New carts
Speedy greens and difficult to read, but a nice challenge
Will return
Pace of play.
The pace today was absolutely horrible. I understand the reason was a frost delay, but not to let some players start on # 10 blows my mind. 5.5 hrs to play 18, unacceptable. It was so backed up that the group behind us asked if we were playing 7. No! Will need be playing here until weather is constantly warm.
Frost delay
Had a frost delay which delayed tee times for two hours. We weren't offered a discount or rain check and some groups were. There was no ranger monitoring pace of play so it took almost 5 hours to play after we were already way behind. I love the course and layout but won't go back after this experience.
