Good course. Lots of water hazards. Semi challenging.. Worth the price.
Very Poor Condition
Mostly dead tee boxes, fairways and spots on greens. Crab grass very bad and even some crab grass on the greens. Played course on a Hot Deal and think I still overpaid. Very disappointing this course isn't getting any better. New owner acts as if it's the premiere coarse in KY, Very overpriced and overrated course, only play as a last resort.
Nice layout
First time playing. Course was somewhat slow paced, waited each hole. We kind of expected that since it was a pretty nice Saturday afternoon. Front 9 will fool you, it will build you up thinking that this course is cake. Then the back 9 will slap you in the face. We will return, had a great time and it was much better than being at work.
It has hit a wall and its a shame
This is the 3rd time this summer we played the course. Everyone is nice and friendly. We like the course, pace of play and layout. But in the last 3 weeks something very bad has happened here. Tee boxes were all a mess. Too wet, crab grass everywhere. There was hardly a box where we could tee between the markers. Sometimes having to move back 5-10 yards to find a respectable place to tee it up.
There were 3 greens that were so beat up you were tempted to declare winter rules and pick up. Two had large patches in attempt to get grass growing. The fairways were burned up in many places. In some low areas those in charge would have been well advised to rope off the area. One hole should have been closed until areas in the fairway came back.
I think we are unfortunatedly finsihed with coming here this season. There is just too much to do here.
Sad
Disappointing
Clubhouse was locked when we got there. Ended up going off 30 minutes late thanks only to a maintenance man who gave us keys to the carts. Forced to play the front nine twice due to a league they allowed to start on the back nine. Thankfully it was only $20.
Stupid Layout
The back nine is horrible. They tried to fit a course in a cow pasture and it just doesn’t work. Front nine was fun though. But the tee boxes were inexcusably bad...they even compromised two of my tee shots. Fairways and greens were pretty good but not the best in the area.
Great Course for the money
If you have a chance to play this course, play it! The fairways and greens are in great condition. There are a few places here and there that are not. The course is also a great mix of challenging and not so challenging holes.
Great course to play
Could use better yardage signs and markers. But overall great coarse. Beautiful country side. We definitely be back
Rough ride
Cart paths are like running over pot holes, people with back problems need to stay away from this course. Besides that, nice place to play.
Very OK course. Short. Easy layout.
Definitely felt like Kentucky. Barns all around the clubhouse. Not much food and facility options.
Course was maintained pretty well though.
Whatever water they use smells terrible. They were watering the course and the whole course smelled like manure.
I’d only play this course again if there was a hot deal.
Good layout greens in good shape
Love the course. But they shouldn't let groups of five go out . Two groups of old men in front of us on the fifth hole one guy said sorry we are holding you up. They did let us play though on number ten. By the way I am also a senior
Great layout
Course has a great layout. Course was in excellent condition especially for this time of the year. However, there are several sections of the cart paths that are in need of repair. The staff was very friendly and helpful as always. We really enjoyed our round!
Nice course
It's a little distance from the city golfers to play here. Curt paths need work but all in all it's worth the the trip to play there.
Soggy, but playable
Left the course and was soaked through, it was a rough day with the wet conditions from all the rain. Was actually surprised the course was open
Great course
BEAUTIFUL COURSE!!!! Slow and very backed up from slow players. I love this course and it's condition and layout.
twin bridges
tee boxes are showing wear but the rest of the course is in good shape.
Challenging but fun
I took the day off of work and saw a great price on Golf Now. I hadn’t play the course in a year. Gentleman in the clubhouse told me to head on out about 15 minutes before my scheduled tee time. Also told me that a couple, few groups had just gone off one and let me know that I could start on the back nine.
The back nine is much tougher than the front, at least for me. My driver wasn’t treating me well so I decided to put the head cover back in for the rest of the day. I hit a couple shots to the right and couldn’t find them so I stuck with irons off the tee for the rest of the day. I had longer approach shots because of it but being in the short grass allowed me to at least have a couple birdie and several par attempts.
Front nine is my favorite of the two. The layout just works better for me.
Pace of play was great. I finished up in just over three hours. Would have been quicker but it was HOT so I found shade between a couple holes to cool off.
I’d recommend it for anyone of all skill levels. I used to play a lot and could hold my own on the course but now I play less and I’m pretty happy being a bogey golfer.
