Well, It is a golf course..
It seems like a course built as an amenity for the apt residents. The fairways were all rough and the greens were actually really nice. It's not a legit golf course but for $10 it's a ok course to play with a good group of friends. We had fun and it made the play style fun with the funky course.
Good Beginner Course
Weather was incredible and the course was not crowded at all! Fairways were green but the greens were a little rough with dead spots. Would recommend this course for anybody just starting out. Worth the price!
Greens are the only redeeming feature of this course
Played this course as part of an outing. Greens were good, but the rest of the course is horrible. Given there is one of the biggest lakes down the street, this course looks like it has been neglected and hasn't seen water for at least 2 years. See the wet areas sign in the fairway that looks like a desert. We decided to add some Gatorade to try and save some grass. You can hit drives in the middle of the fairway all you want, but the slope of the course and fact that there is little grass to stop the ball will have you in the rough (dirt) or trees more than you will care. Avoid this "dog track". There are other courses in much better shape.
Good bang for your buck
You get what you pay for. My brother and I were looking for a good course for cheap to play and we both were satisfied with the course.
Good for kids and beginners, but sorely needs maintenance
This course is not for serious golfers, but is OK for taking kids there, for beginners to learn without feeling hurried, or for those who don't want to spend much on golf. It needs a lot of work on its fairways: seems that each fairway has about 50% weeds and bare spots and 50% grass. Cart paths are gravel and also need work ... lots of washed out spots. Layout and landscaping of course isn't very good ... i.e., after the first hole or two, you are in a central area where all the remainder of the holes are, and the 9th hole doesn't end near the clubhouse. You get a nice view of the adjoining trailer park on one or two of the holes. They should plant some trees there to improve aesthetics.
Because of all that, it's not crowded at all, and because of the low price, it's a good place to take kids or beginners, without feeling rushed. They charge a fair price for what they offer, and the staff is friendly. But with more maintenance and some extra landscaping, it could be much, much better.
