An excellent place to play

We have been driving 20 miles to play this course this fall, and it is terrific, especially for less-experienced players. The tee boxes are well taken care of, and the fairways and greens are magnificent. This is not a particularly challenging course, but it has mature trees, the staff is friendly, the prices are right and there's a great ice cream shop around the corner (the South Pole). Highly recommend spending an afternoon there.

solid course

I haven't been golfing very long, so I was just looking for a quick 9 close to home. Friendly and helpful staff, not too difficult to play, all pretty good. The only negative thing was that our cart started to die after about 6 holes. Other than that, no complaints.

Great municipal course

My buddy and I played an early morning round as I heard that the course was in great shape. This was correct. The course is in phenomenal shape after the new irrigation system was installed last year. The fairways, tees, and greens were plush and receptive. There were a few hard spots in the rough that led to difficult shots, but that's to be expected with the recent hot,dry weather. 180 degree turnaround from previous seasons as the greens and tees used to be hard as a rock during this time of the year. Layout isn't much to look at as it is a traditional back and forth on the front, but definitely more character on the back side with the creek and doglegs. Highly recommend for a quick, municipal round.

Tipton's Muni is a decent course. The front 9 is pretty short with a lot of mundane back-and-forth holes. The back 9 has more doglegs and a creek in play on a couple holes, so there's a little more character. The primary defenses are the mature trees if you spray off the tee, and the small greens that have some contours, but are not overly sloped. The course is in pretty good shape given the recent t weather. It was wide wide open at 330 on a weekday. Worth a go if you find yourself in the area.

Wonderful, Public golf course

This is an older golf course so it's not very long, but still forces you to hit a lot of the clubs in your bag. With the par threes at 135; 198; 205; 174 they present a challenge. Most of the front nine are short holes which are always fun, because if you are in play, you can make a birdie.

A lot tree lined fairways that can force you to have to hit a shot if you are hitting it off line.

Greens are always in good shape, probably the best municipal course greens in Indiana.

Great price, staff friendly and a fun golf course.
