Lighting quick greens
boring layout, but conditions were solid. the greens were like glass and pin placements were borderline unfair, but we managed! didn't score well, but still enjoyed my round. I'd play here again but wouldn't go out of my way.
Nice Routing and Well Maintained
I played on a weekday morning as a single behind a foursome. I hung back so they didn't feel pushed, but the pace was surprisingly good. The front 9 is very open, the back 9 winds through the woods, very pretty. The course was in great shape, and was not as tough as I made it seem. Pro shop staff were fine, the girl in the restaurant wasn't happy to be there. I'll go back next time I am in the area.
Golf in residential neighbor hood
This golf course is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. All the holes are lined by the back yards of houses. No views, no elevation changes,. Not worth the money.
Great test
Nice late in the day 9 hole round. Got paired up with some high school age players and they were fun to have with me knocking it around. Good players and played the course before so warned me of a few things off the tee or second shot I was unable to see. Even with GPS, having someone there with you helps.
Course was in great shape, perfect rough length for me so my ball routinely sat up on the blades of grass rather than sinking down.
Appreciated the layout with a few OB and water to tighten it up but for the most part, you spray it a little and you won't be penalized too much. I will probably walk next time as not too many hills on the front 9 or long walks between green to next tee.
Four star course, not
Played during the middle of the work week in the middle of the day. You could tell its a course where business execs hang out. Group behind us seemed antsy even though we played the front 9 almost half hour ahead of recommended time. Sure enough, they quit after nine holes to get back to the office.
Course conditions were nice but the course itself was forgettable. It winds through a neighborhood of nice houses and even has several holes along the interstate. I wonder how many wayward balls find their way into someone's windshield at 70mph. Not good. Good course for the locals but anyone visiting northern Indiana can find better than this.
Course lived up to its lofty expectations
Autumn Ridge was ranked as a 4-star golf course by Golf Digest. It also claimed the accolade of, "Ft. Wayne's #1 golf course three years in a row!" So going into my round I had high expectations. Autumn Ridge delivered. Most area courses were closed due to the excessive rain in Northeast Indiana so huge props to Autumn Ridge on not only being open but having a fairly decent drainage system that made the course enjoyable even with the soggy conditions.
The layout is unique and challenging. Several fairway bunkers, long dog legs around water hazards and a couple tight tree-lined fairways made for some intimidating tee shots. The highlight of the course however were the greens. The greens were in great shape and rolled just about as well as any course I've played this year. They are laying down some new sod on a couple holes but I was really impressed with the conditions of the putting surface.
Overall, this is a great course and it's even better with the golfnow price. I played for $16 and it was well worth the money. Challenging, fun and in excellent condition, Autumn Ridge lived up to its lofty expectations.
Nice course-too busy-like cattle led through a chute
I'm a beginner golfer & was hoping to get in a good practice round-was paired up with 3 good golfers-though they seemed ok- it was not enjoyable for any of us-won't do this again! I know we agree to terms--but I've never been made to golf with strangers anywhere before. Not fun!
Early in season
Appreciate them being open this early in season so I forgive them for the condition of the greens. Lots of dirt patches on several greens but it is very early in season. For the recent rain and season just starting, pretty good shape. Still one of the top public courses in the area.
One of the nicer courses in Fort Wayne
Autumn Ridge is a pretty challenging course. It has a ton of water that will give you fit all day. It has a few risk reward holes that can boost your score or kill your round.
Wet round, but fun
Had a great time playing this course, even though the course had recently been aerated. (it would have been nice to had a warning of this before purchasing green fees) I probably would have played another course. Still, even though it rained for about 1/2 hour, we had a pleasant round.
convenient
I liked the golf course because it is fun to play, and Autumn Ridge has some challenging holes. I will play again.
Great deal on a great course
Autumn Ridge is a beautiful and challenging and fun golf course to play. They are repairing the green on the par 3 16th hole and what they have as a substitute for the hole and green is not very nice. The price on golfnow was only $15 and you can't beat that for a cart and 18 holes on a well kept up golf course. The different sets of tees can challenge anyone regardless of handicap.
Great round
I played with my two sons. We all played well and really enjoyed the course. Greens were in perfect condition.
Great course
Autumn Ridge is a well maintained and beautiful track. Challenging and yet playable with accurate shots. I enjoy this Fort Wayne area course.
A little slow at Times, but Nice Course
I enjoy playing Autumn Ridge and for the price of the GOLF NOW deal, you flat out can't beat it.
My only complaint is that some times the play can be a little slow, but other than that its all good!
Sarasota golfer
Excellent condition, except #16 green is mostly burnt out. They say they are correcting that. #17 green was so fast, it was pretty much unfair..1' above the hole left you with a 10' putt if you missed it!! Greens rolled excellent other than that Very nice layout. Highly recommended.
Fun Day
What a perfect day of golf! Autumn Ridge was in fantastic shape and my foursome basically had the course to ourselves. We paid $20 for a round of golf that was worth at least twice that much! We had a great day!
This course has great features.
This is a beautiful, interesting golf course. I will return.
Fun course
Greens were in great shape, even with the outing played that day (would it kill people to fix their ball marks?!). And they were good & fast, and rolled great. Fairways were in good shape too. Met a couple members as I played - friendly and helpful.
And the staff was awesome - I messed up with my reservation, and they kindly humored me.
Will be back.
this course has great features
