Pretty Nice
Overall I gave it a 3 star review. They did have a few holes with ground under repair. Green were in nice condition. Most fairways were in very good cond. Very pretty setting. A great value at $10
Nice layout poor condition
A lot of the fairways were in poor conditions the layout was good. All and all it was a cheap course and it played like one
One of classic & old time 9 hole courses in area
Always enjoy a round of golf @ this old time 9-hole course. Our starter was friendly & helpful. Alot of prior history here with friends on scotch doubles tourneys. Due to some rains, some fairway areas (especially #2) slightly worn. But if you are looking for a relaxing round of 9-hole golf w/ mature trees, at a decent weekend rate, worth the price.
Course needs attention
I know it is good for the price ($15 for 9 holes) but, the only par 5 was cut to a par 3, some of the par 4's had fairways completely soaking wet and some of the greens needed attention. It is a good place to practice your Irons but it is not a par 3's course.
It has been raining a lot lately so I guess course conditions have to be because of that.
I'll play here again just to write a more true review.
Great Value
Great value for 9 holes $10. Staff was very friendly I'd recommend this deal to anyone. I have also played 18 at this course and enjoyed the round as well. Will be back.
Great
Best 9 hole course around. Great course for all skill levels.
Maple meadows east 9
Great 9 hole course. Beautiful old established greens. Very fast yesterday. Very tight course. Every hole has unique challenge. Some very tough pars
TRY IT BEFORE IT'S GONE!
After this season this course will be gone. The Oak Meadows Golf Course which adjoins this 9 hole course is going to be totally redone next year and the land this course is on will be incorporated into the new Oak Meadows.
staff was very harrasive
played this course with my mother who doesn't golf as much as i do so our time was a little slow, by the 5th tee we had the ranger trying to push us along (keep in mind that no one else was on the course at the time). i tried explaining to him that we would try our best to hurry up but there was no need to be rude. He then followed us the rest of the way through to the 9 interrupting our shots and remarking HURRY HURRY HURRY. NEVER GO TO THIS COURSE IF YOU DON'T LIKE SOMEONE ON TOP OF YOU THROUGH YOUR GAME!!!!.
Requires better groundskeeping!!
Point of clarification, I played the East 9 which is across the street from the main 18 hole course they have. I gave this course 2/5 stars primarily because it has many pitfalls that can easily be corrected by having better maintenance from the grounds. The most glaring area that needs addressing is that virtually every bunker is infested with hornet nests. One even had about 10-15 dwellings and about 25-50 large hornets flying around at a given time. Luckily we didn't hit any balls into one of those bunkers, but if we did there is no way we were going to hit out in those conditions. Another more minor area to take care of is that there were tons of leaves and dry patches of grass that need to be taken care of. I played in early August and fall hasn't even begun, yet there are almost as many untended leaves on the ground as a course would have in say mid-September. For the price (mid $20s) for a 9 hole course with cart, I would recommend you check out playing elsewhere until these issues are addressed. The 2 stars is given mainly because the staff was very friendly and the starter was a nice man that I conversed with for 5 minutes before I teed off. Easily the best part of the day right there, to that man I say thank you.
1 par 5, lots of dog legs, long par threes
Not the same type of course as Maple Meadows across the street (which is much nicer) only 9 holes.
Pretty challenging - course could've been maintained a bit better, was kinda dry and grass was kind of scubby.
Greens were ok, challenging pin positions.
Was disappointed in the price, compared to deals for 18 at the nicer course across the street
