Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park is ranked as one of Chicagoland's top 15 public golf courses. The course's challenging design can partly be attributed to Curtis Strange, a two-time U.S. Open champion who acted as the chief design consultant. At over 7,000 yards from the back tees, the course presents a formidable test. The tactical placement of the bunkers and other hazards encourages you to think carefully about your risk-reward options, a clear example of Strange's influence. The golf course will require strategy as well as skill, it is definitely not your average "grip it and rip it" layout. The 16th hole is particularly memorable for its island green, the only hole of its kind in the Chicago area. You'll need two strong shots on this par 5 to get into a good position to approach the green.
