Macktown Golf Course

fun course it rained or drizzled most of the 18 hole but we still had a great time ! Greens can be very challenging, grass length on fairways is great rough is manageable ! Plenty of trees if you don't hit straight :0)

Great value for 18 holes with cart. The course was in great shape and pace of play was good.

We had a great experience at Macktown. It was the first time we played there. We got a super low price from Golf Now even with the up charge. Very nice course I would have rated it about 4 1/2 stars if I could But five is ok too. We plan to return soon. Highly Recommend the course.

Only a few on the course the day I played. Pace of play was outstanding. Excellent course down in a mini valley/hollow so it feels really secluded.

A short course, but still challenging. Great fall golf.

The greens here are small and make very challenging. Targets, they are also very difficult. To putt. But the course is very short which makes for very playable golf conditions.a course for all levels of play

Continues to be a favorite course-great location...beautiful views and a level of challenge to accommodate beginners and advanced players.

Would like to see improvements and expansion in the clubhouse/deck-a shame not to with the great views and the property available.

No knock to the course but due to all of the rain this season the mosquitoes were out in full force from late afternoon on. I assume the same is true for any course in the area with lots of woods and with or near water.

The course is beautiful and extremely well maintained, but around 4:30 we were getting eaten alive by mosquito's so we wound up leaving before playing the last 3 holes. The rain had been horrible the whole month of June, but I feel the course should have paid for mosquito abatement treatment.

The fairways were in excellent shape, maybe the best I've ever seen them. But the greens too recently aerated, making putting kind of a joke. I think that should have been mentioned.

We really like this course. Very, very short. Great for ego.

As a beginning golfer, I found the course played to my level. The yardage is not long, but still enough to make you hit shots. The greens were a bit slower than normal, but still challenging. The only problem with the course was people replacing ball marks in the greens. Our group of three were constantly having to fix other people's ball marks, which became a pain after a few holes.

we have played this well maintained course several times , always well maintained. the course has many regulars that are fun to chat with and make a relaxing course to play.

Not a long course, but was in great shape, fun to play

You would think that on a day with groups on every single tee box you'd might see a Ranger. However, this is not the case. 2 groups ahead of our group both lost 2 player after 9. They both tee'd off 10 separately, bringing the golf course to a screeching hault. 2- 2somes in between a sea of 4somes on a holiday weekend. We spoke up but it didn't matter. A Ranger on the course would've been a good thing. The course was in amazing shape...to end on a good note.

Course was in good shape. It was pretty busy and slowed down on the last five holes.

It's a little shorter than the other park district courses, but some narrow fairways & trees make it pretty much as challenging. It's a good golf course.
