Opened in 1991 as part of The Coeur D'Alene Resort & Spa, the Resort Course opened in 1991 and was designed by Scott Miller. It's most famous for the island green 14th hole, a 15,000-square-foot construction that can be moved daily to change the yardage and requires a short boat ride to reach. Besides the 14th, most holes either play along the lake or have lakeside views. The course was renovated in 2003, and particular holes, like the par-3 5th, were enhanced. Also in recent years, the resort moved some of its club facilities to the new golf clubhouse, which has a pool, restaurant and other amenities. A traditional design, the golf course is walkable with a caddie, or groups can take golf carts with forecaddies.
