Named in honor of the greatest king in the history of the Hawaiian Islands, King Kamehameha Golf Club is the island's only 18-hole private club.
The golf course, originally designed by Ted Robinson Sr. in 1991 and refreshed by Ted Robinson Jr. in 2005, hugs the slopes of the West Maui Mountains.
The course works with nature and its details craft each club in your arsenal. Best yet? There's no surrounding homes or traffic to interfere with your game.
King Kamehameha Golf Club follows Robinson's philosophy: the golfer attacks, the designer defends. And it announces that philosophy on the first hole, a 580-yard, par-5 beast. The golf course ends on the same note, a 559-yard par-5 that hugs a lake.
After golf, you can enjoy the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed clubhouse - featuring elegant and casual dining rooms, cozy fireplaces and outdoor terraces - luxurious spas for men and women and fitness rooms.
