Makena Beach & Golf Resort stretches across 1800 acres along the southern end of Maui, right where the dramatic slopes of Hawaii’s largest volcano meets the rocky lava shoreline and white sandy beaches that lead to the sparkling blue waters of the Pacific. The name, Makena, means "place of abundance," a fitting name that aptly describes the stunning setting. The golf course fully utilizes the natural features of the landscape, incorporating all of the indigenous trees and meandering streams. One of the most unique features of the golf course is the presence of ancient rock formations, which you’ll come across throughout. In addition to the many natural hazards, there are strategically placed bunkers to contend with along the subtly contoured greens. This memorable layout is one of the only sea-to-mountain golf courses in Maui.
