Twin City Country Club
Cold windy day so not too many players, I was able to literally breeze through the course in 2 hr's. Initial 11 holes OK, not to demanding but holes 12 - 18 are as good as any stretch of holes in recent memory including two great pars three's 12 and 15. Conditions were good to very good. Chipping areas around the greens were like carpet, ball set up nicely making chipping easy. Greens held approach shots and rolled well. I'd like to play it again when it gets warmer. Strangely a huge tree is directly in the middle of the 18th fairway roughly 200 yards from the back tee? Really no where to play a shot except directly at it, luckily my ball went through on the upper right hand side putting me in the middle of the fairway leaving a 190 yard uphill approach shot to a nice green. Recommend nice track.
Really fun course
This is a super course to play. I highly recommend it. May be a little high on price but with over seeded greens, in great condition, I feel it is worth the price.
Great course, last time I'll play there.
My friend and I walked in the door to sign in and were greeted by "Are y'all GolfNowers?. How did y'all pull that off? You're not supposed to be able to do that if you live in the county. But we'll go ahead and let y'all play." Made us feel like second class citizens and that we didn't belong there. I don't fault the guy who greeted us. He's been a good friend for many years and he was only doing his job. But if the course doesn't want "certain people" playing on their hallowed grounds, they should remove themselves from Golfnow.
Twin City
Great course, Beautiful greens and great fairways. Looking forward to play again.
Once a week golfers
Always enjoy playing this course. Greens were punched and are about 10 days away from being smooth. Still had fun.
Single digit from the tips
I was pleased with the course for the most part. The greens were smaller than average and had more than average slope. The areas on and around the greens was 4/5 condition. The fairways were 3/5 condition. It had rained quite a bit two days before we played and we found there to be no standing water on the course. The routing of the course was a little confusing behind the first and fifth greens. Overall the length of the course was short. The par threes were long. The par fours were short. And the par fives were average to short. The fairways were wide enough that you felt you were not being choked. I hit driver only 7 times. Don't hit driver on 17 (creek right). I played to my handicap but chipped very well. The 16 and 18 green are a bit too severe. I would play it again.
Good value
Challenging but fair course. Always in good condition. Good value for the money.
If More Courses Were Like Twin City CC....
there'd be a lot more golfers! A very fun course. Front nine is pretty wide open and fairly flat. The back nine is more enclosed with elevation changes and water. Very good conditions. Greens a little slow; probably just needed cutting. They rolled well and slopes added challenges. The fairways had undulations that might give you a tricky lie or two. Whipped around in 2:20!
Minor nit: Cart paths - paved or otherwise - are quite bumpy. Walking is very doable though.
Twin Cities Country Club
I had not played the course in twenty years. I am very impressed.
This is one of my favorite layouts. The course was in excellent condition for this time of year, and the greens were as challenging as ever.
This course continues to improve with age.
Great driving range and many scenic memorable holes.
The clubhouse is a great addition.
Cold but good!
Was a blustery, cold day... but warmed nicely. Greens were in surprisingly good shape for winter golf. Staff was helpful. A bit confusing though, had to travel almost an hour to get her. This "Twin City" course is an hour west between Tenille and Sandersville....I should have looked more closely at the address. Enjoyed the front 9 much more than the back.
Fun layout, drains well
Old style course with good fairways and tees.
Old-style, small greens are maintained but grainy and average speed right now.
Drains well so carts allowed in fairways.
Great Deal
Course is in great shape. Greens aren't as speedy as they were earlier in the Spring/Summer, but fairways are perfect.
Difficult with the greens aerated but a joy to play.
A little slow for a holiday weekend, which was pleasant. And even though the greens had been aerated the ball still tracked well. I was pleased.
Will use every club in your bag.
Really like this lay out. Need to play every kind of shot.
Nice course they have really been putting some time into ot lately
I end up in Washington county nearly every week end I can tell you that compared to the next closest course in Johnson county they are miles apart. Twin city looks great right now they are really getting it where it needs to be .
Nice course with a lot of room to play.
Played on a very windy day in March and struggled in more open with wind carry. Still enjoyed the course despite tough conditions. Greens in very good shape for winter.
This is a great place to play!
This is a great plae to play golf.Course is always in great shape according to weather conditions. The pace of play is better than average and "playing through" has never been a problem.Twin Cities has a very friendly staff and great club house. This course has a few tuff holes so you need to bring your A game score well here but this course is fun at all levels.
Decent course but a bit of a drive from my house.
Felt like a down home course with some country flavor.
Good course layout, excellent value
Good value, course has good layout, the last few holes are a challenge.
Great course and super friendly people.
We loved it.
The course was challenging for me and I can't wait to try it again.
I would recommend this course to everyone.
