With a dramatic location at the southern tip of St. Simon's Island, the Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club is a true links course that offers endless ocean views. It is the more demanding of the two championship courses offered at the club. The original 1929 design was updated by Tom Fazio in 1999, which boosted the already popular layout to a prominent spot on Golf Digest's list of the Top 100 Courses in the U.S. Strong winds whip across the tidal creeks, dunes, and salt marshes that cover the golf course. The challenges continue onto the greens, which are nearly impossible to read. The layout features many notable challenges but the bunkering is truly memorable. They offer a variety in size and shape but they are all strategically placed to deliver a formidable test for even the most experienced players.
