No water
87 degrees, 1 out 4 water buckets along course had water. You need a moon rover to get from fairways back on the cart path. Way over priced for this course.
Good value
I played early, by myself & finished in under 3 hours.Friendly pro (Jack), good value for the price.
Course is a little quirky playing for 1st time ( don’t hit driver on #1) especially on back 9 .. b EZer once u figure out where to hit to on subsequent rounds.
Good course for budget, likely to play again
Great course to play with the boys
Was our first time playing in this course, we usually play 2v2 scrambles and this course provided a great time with challenging greens, changes in elevation everywhere and the trees off the fairways that makes you have to hit the fairway or you're dropping.
Pace of play was a decent, the GPS said we ended up 20 min off the pace. We will keep coming back and enjoy a good time on the course and on the 19th hole.
Masters Sunday
No beverage cart today they sent it to Hamilton Mill what a joke. That is really said for Masters weekend.
Will play again
Some interesting holes and a few blind shots
Great staff everyone was friendly and attentive
Pace if play was flowing and Marshall's were active
Major let down
I have played this course many times over the years. It has gradually become covered with erosion around paths, high Asian clientele which in itself is not a bad thing except sadly they do lot know many etiquette rules of conduct. I booked as 1 and they let the group I was to play with go off early. So they put me out as a single, behind two non English speaking Asian gents who eventually did let me pass. Then I came up on two Asian couples who all hit the ball 60 years off the tee. No problem but the women would go look for their balls in woods, they would hit two and three times in the sand and not rake. But biut that is just the nature of their culture and not an absolute complaint. The complaint is the public pay to play and typically a premium on the atlanta area. So course need to work on negatives and and make the play as fun , and as valuable as possible. No Marshall to regulate rules of cart driving, sand traps, or pace of play. The crew in pro shop just kinda blew it off that I quit after ten holes because I was waiting on them to hit 3 shots before I could tee off with a hole open in front. They made no effort to rain check me for 9 holes or earn my business so they have now lost it.
17 solid holes and the worst hole in Georgia
First time playing - lots to say
Pro shop staff friendly
Starter did a good job
Carts were great with yardage
Course is playing hard and fast
Surprising few divots on fairways
Practice green was hard and crusty
Greens on course were much better
The practice green is being loved to death
There was always 5 to 10 people on it every time went past - chipping allowed
Layout is solid - first is great par 4
Designer got me a few times
Big right to left slopes short of green and hiding left to right slope at the green (10th)
The problem hole is the 14th - 390 yards down the massive hill to a elevated green over a gorge. My three wood down left side ran out of fairway . Dropped ball 110 yards out and hitting off a sharp downward slope to an elevated green. Finish 1 yard short and back into the gorge . My wife could never get the ball over the gorge . Just a bad hole and slows up play. They should bite the bullet and make it a par 3 ..
Still a good time
Very Good
We teed off on #1 hole which was always #10..good change because no back up on #1.
My Golf buddy got hit in the head by a lady in the group behind us. They were 120 yards out and hit into us as we approached our carts. We had to take him to the pro shop and get him patched up. I don't understand why they could not wait one more minute. Please wait until the coast is clear before injuring someone. He should sue that lady. She ruined our golf day. We had to take him to the DR. Thanks so much to the pro shop and the Owner Holly for taking care of him. We did get a rain check so thanks TCA for what you did.
Course in good shape. A few wet spots, not surprising after a week of daily rain. Not a hindrance. Good company, had a good day.
Apalachee Golf
It was our first time playing this course. I like the course & the layout. Some holes are a little unfair. There should be more information provided to avoid some hazards you can’t see. I know during the winter we do not expect the couse to play as fair. There was a lot of wash from the rain; and some repair work needs to be done.
Overall pleased & will play again.
Great price for a good course
The price was great for the course. You can tell they are putting a lot of work into the course. Can't wait to see what it looks like in July.
Slow pace and nobody cares
Just keeping it short because thought I already reviewed. Paid $60pkus dollars to play 9 holes. They sent me off as single behind a twosome that was behind two foursomes. The twosome let me play through on hole 3, no speak English. Right foursome immediately and it was two couples, Asian, and they all hit ball 60 yards. Never let me play through with hole opened in front of them. Drove all over course and never raked traps. No marshall so nothing changed. Thought I might get ahead at turn but nope. So went back and mentioned to staff in pro shop and no one cared. Didn’t even offer to give me nine hole rain check. Another group behind the twosome I passed through also said about to quit.
Terrific greens for this time of year. Overall experience was great definitely going back.
