Augusta National Golf Club is home to not only the famous 18-hole course, but the nine-hole par 3 course. It was the idea of Clifford Roberts, former chairman of the club, and was built in 1958. Roberts founded the Masters Par 3 contest in 1960, which replaced a long-drive contest. The course plays to 1,060 yards and features very small greens, many of which hug water hazards. Repeat winners of the par 3 contest include Sam Snead, Sandy Lyle and Padraig Harrington.
