While Sarasota National Golf Club may look inviting with its verdant landscape, it presents a formidable test for golfers of any skill level. The challenging layout features expansive fairways and although the landing areas may seem generous, the approaches are tricky and they are not always easy to hit. The fast, undulating greens are difficult to read and there are water hazards coming into play on a few holes. The golf course is lengthier than most in the area at 7,334 yards from the championship tees. Native wetlands and nature preserves surround the course, providing at least some scenic respite from demands of the course. Sarasota National G.C. also offers a driving range as well as putting and chipping greens.
