Golf legends Sam "The Slammer" Snead and Gene "The Squire" Sarazen worked with architect Bobby Weed to design the Slammer & Squire course at World Golf Village. Meandering through preserved wetlands and woodlands, the Slammer & Squire also affords views from several holes of the World Golf Hall of Fame. The front nine is tree-lined, while most of the back nine fairways are bordered and defined by water. The course has the PGA Tour Golf Academy on grounds, and the clubhouses offer excellent dining. World Golf Village is also home to the King & Bear course, designed by Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus.
