Description
Brooker Creek Golf Club, formerly known as the Tarpon Woods G.C., has seen major changes and improvements since 2009, including new tee boxes, greens and sand traps. One of the more scenic golf courses in the Tampa Bay area, it hosts an abundance of wildlife including alligators, deer, otters, turkey and exotic birds. Your round heats up on the 557-yard third hole, the longest and most difficult on the course. A creek runs down the left side and there is water on both sides of the approach to the green. Your best bet is to go with a 3-wood off the tee, lay up and hit a wedge to the green. After golf, retire to Beef O'Brady's in the clubhouse. This popular chain sports bar has many TVs and some of the best burgers in the area. Brooker Creek Golf Club is located minutes from several of the local beaches and about 40 minutes from Tampa's airport.
