Eglin Golf Course offers two championship courses, the Eagle and Falcon. Eglin's rich history begins in 1923 when it was known as the Chicago Country Club. It was home to the mafia of the Al Capone-era. The Army eventually took it over in 1942. Ranked third of all the Air Force golf courses, Eglin has enough variety to satisfy any golfer, no matter what your tastes or abilities. The Eagle Course is the more player friendly of the two but it's not to be underestimated. The greens were renovated in 2008 to modern specifications. They can be especially tricky to read thanks to the landscape's rolling hills. You'll need to have an accurate long game but there is a little room for error. In addition to the two golf courses, there is a practice facility with a driving range as well as a chipping and bunker area.
