Tiburon Golf Club boasts two Greg Norman-designed championship courses: the Black and the Gold. Neither course is situated near the ocean, nor are they covered with dunes yet they still manage to play like true links courses. The Gold Course, the newest of the two, has more coquina shell-lined waste bunkers than the Black Course but there is more room to drive the ball and more opportunities to run the ball up on the greens than on the other course. The sprawling bunkers are hard to avoid, especially since there are almost 50 placed strategically throughout. Water hazards also come into play on thirteen holes. Both Tiburon courses are similar in design and beauty but the Gold Course is slightly less challenging. It still offers a good test of your skills nonetheless.
