North Golf Course at Big Cypress Golf & Country Club
About
Big Cypress Golf Club is home to two golf courses, the championship South Course and the executive North Course. Located in Lakeland, Big Cypress is situated between Orlando and Tampa. The courses are part of a gated retirement community called Cypress Lakes. The North is less challenging and offers a gentler version of the South that is more approachable to beginners. It is a fairly narrow layout that features tree-lined fairways and strategically placed sand bunkers. Water also has a strong presence on the course, coming into play on a total of 12 holes. The layout is player-friendly and offers several risk-reward opportunities. It is a great for beginners and more advanced players will enjoy it for a quick round or a warm-up for the South Course. In addition to the two golf courses, there is also a driving range and putting green.

Windy day
Course in good condition greens fast rolling true good course to work on your short game lots of wildlife and scenery to see as u play only negative is the price unless u get a hot deal it’s $30 and that to much for a par 3 course no matter how good it looks they have so many members they can charge that to the public
Challenging short course!
I believe it was 12 par 3’s and 6 par 4’s, which don’t exceed 300yds really.
Definitely a challenging course for a higher handicap player like myself, who just got back into the game.
My biggest complaint: needs better signage on where to find the first tee box, and also where to go from 9 to 10. We took what we thought was the path, but put us on hole 4 of the south course.
Tee boxes could use some love but really not bad.
Greens are great. My favorite greens in Lakeland. Fast and true, with no dead grass in sight on the greens.
Course layout is very nice, gators everywhere.
Took myself and my father 2:40 minutes to play 18.
For $40, the value and experience is great.
Hardly shooting next to any houses, you get the nature feel out here, as you do the South course.
One of my overall favorite golf locations in Lakeland (north and south course together).
Will happily return.
Course was great.
I had a great experience. The clubhouse staff were really helpful and friendly. It was really relaxing experience, the North course was quite challenging for a short course, excellent value for money and I would highly recommend playing here.
Short but nice!
2 1/2 hours to get around. Nice conditions for February.. Greens rolled true and had a decient speed. We enjoyed our two rounds there this year. I will return in the future. The Executive Little Cypress is a distance away from the Pro Shop..... follow the blue line from the Pro Shop to the 1st Tee.
Not Open
No body at the golf course let Golfnow know that they closed the golf course for the day because of wet conditions. So we drove 35 miles to find out at the gate that the golf course was closed for the day. Golfnow has refunded our money.
Nice short track!
Liked this executive course. Good greens and surrounding areas for chipping. Par 4's are tight but fair. They throw pretty much 1 trap at each green to make you think.
