The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa is just off Florida's beautiful Gold Coast. This highly acclaimed championship golf course is known for being one of the most scenic and also one of the most challenging south Florida golf courses. Its lush landscape is blanketed with more than 3,000 coconut and royal palm trees and banyans that are over half a century old. The challenging layout features water on all but two of the 18 holes and there are 76 high-quality sand bunkers carefully placed around the landing areas, greensides, and fairways. There are many wood retaining walls and there are often lakes or ponds fronting the undulating greens, but the landing areas are generous and player-friendly, allowing room for recoveries from slightly offline approaches. A unique feature of the layout is the abundance of par-5 holes, including one that stretches to 570 yards, making it one of the longest in the area.
