Crystal River Golf Club (formely known as Seven Rivers Golf & Country Club) has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1968. The course is not only one of Crystal River's most affordable rounds but also one of its most scenic. It's not unusual for golfers to be joined by the golf course's abundant wildlife, which includes everything from turtles and alligators to egrets and eagles. The golf course has a traditional parkland layout that is routed through stands of mature oak and maple trees. A network of ponds and steams weaves throughout the golf course as well. It's a challenging but fair test where water hazards and sand bunkers come into play often. In addition to the course, Crystal River Golf Club also has a practice facility with a driving range and a putting green with a sand bunker.

A beauty of a Golf course
They lay out is just terrific, the fairways are I great condition, and there is rough to play out of.....in most cases you are playing off hardpan. For the most part the greens were good. They had just sanded aerated all the greens. In all, I will be back to play this course.
Pretty course with wide fairways
An interesting course recently opened up to pay and play. Lots of water to the left and right but only a little if you stay in the middle.
Excellent restaurant with friendly staff all round.
Perfect for light plane users it is just behind the airport
Good fairways, good greens
A course I have overlooked before but will definitely return to. I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the fairways and greens. Plenty of water on site but not an issue if you are reasonably accurate. Tee boxes could do with some work but overall one of the better courses in terms of maintenance. You have to think about some of your shots off the certain tees due to the doglegs but that adds to the course.
Fine Course
Enjoyed my round... would play again! Course was in good shape and my only concern was an older foursome who held up our round.
Run Golf Experience
The course has a nice layout with level, open fairways that are well-maintained. The bunkers are sandy. The challenging greens are sloped and very fast.. The plentiful bird and aquatic life which includes many gators make the course pretty and fun. .
Really FAST greens!
The course was in very good shape. The back 9 better than the front. The greens are extremely fast. Love the fact that there is actually considerable distance between the men's blue and the ladies red tees! Actually helped me to be more competitive with my husband's game.
Staff friendly and they have a really nice pro shop. Anything you could need or want and some bargain tables too.
Would definately play again and take friends.
Great course for the price
The course was in really good condition overall and was an excellent value for the price we paid. Greens in good condition while not super fast, they were not slow either. Fairways were a little sparse in a few areas but mostly fine, Traps were in good shape. Enjoyed the course and played it again the next day.
Great bang for your buck!
The course was overall in great shape had some greens that were patchy but very fast very firm and hard to stcl anything on an overall very well-maintained.
Awesome Course
I live in Spring Hill 45 minutes away, never played the course until today. What a treasure. Greens we great and FAST and the best in the area except World Woods and Southern Hills. Ball sat up nicely in the fairway. The rough was sparse and the normal areas near the green and cart paths were sparse, but the areas you are supposed to play was nice. I'm sorry I waited this long to play it. I am planning on a return trip next week with my group.
Very nice and challeging course
We are from Demark and played this course on a sunny day, where abig tournament took plce and ended just before we T'ed out. All were very kind and helpfull, and e enjoied the course, allthough the water hazards stole some golfballs.

this was the second time I playded there in a wek and it was great again. the course is in very good condition and we all enjoyed it
Gators
Was a very nice course in good shape, pace of play was very good. LOT of water, which made it tough.
Will go again and recommend to friends.
Watch out for the gators, they were on EVERY hole, including some little ones.
Great Course
This was a great course as far as condition and difficulty. The only problem was that it was slow play and no ranger to move play along.
Great Value
Greens didnt look like anything great but played very smooth, rolled probably the best of any while I have been in FL. Very Fast though! Fairways were in good shape. Nice layout. You have to watch some of your tee shots...there are some doglegs where the landing zone for your drive is under 200 yards and you could shoot it into the woods. Tees are very beat up. Restaurant/bar is nice and the staff everywhere at 7 Rivers is very friendly.
Older club, but great course
Greens were fast. Lots of water. One green needed repair, but they were working on it. Very challenging for the money.

My buddies and I had a quick round and enjoyed it a great deal in spite of a chilly morning.

Fun to play, convenient to where we are staying and the staff and patrons are very friendly. Will definitely play this course before we head back to Canada.
