A Gene Bates renovation gave the 6,800-yard, par-72 Old Course at Broken Sound Club - one of two 18-hole golf courses at the club - more water than before, while giving it a look that isn't exactly typical of South Florida golf courses. The golf course has distinctive bunkering and rolling terrain among pine trees, which is reminiscent of golf in the northern part of the country.
