The Soffer Course is one of two championship golf courses at the Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort near Miami in Aventura. The course was originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1971 but received a complete, $30 million redesign by Raymond Floyd in 2007. Alongside the Miller, the Soffer is the more demanding of the two Turnberry Isle golf courses and plays to more than 7,000 yards from the championship tees. Both courses are Audubon bird sanctuaries and are home to a wealth of exotic Florida bird life, including flamingos who nest on "Flamingo Island" within resort grounds. A private golf club, Turnberry Isle's two golf courses are available to guests of the on-site Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort.
