White Clay Creek State Park surrounds Deerfield Golf & Tennis Club, providing a heavily wooded and peacefully secluded setting. The abundance of trees plays no small role in the scenery. The course is especially beautiful during the fall. The hilly terrain offers dramatic elevation changes that make it hard to find a flat lie. Golfers will also be faced with several blind shots. The layout offers an interesting mix of holes that all have a different characters as well as varying undulations. White Clay Creek's 10th hole is particularly memorable for its difficulty. This dogleg par 5 plays from an elevated tee with a hidden pond along the left side. The golf course is a local favorite, known for being one of the best, and possibly most scenic, of the area's public courses.
