Pine Creek Golf Club
About
Pine Creek Golf Course is part of the La Plata Communities in Colorado Springs. The course winds through the Pine Creek Valley, providing a lush and varied landscape. The course sprawls across high plains grasslands with abundant trees and lakes coming into play throughout. The seemingly gentle terrain has tricky undulations that total over 375 feet of elevation changes. The front is a canyon-style nine while the back is more of an American links design. There are creek beds coming into play on nearly every hole as well as strategically placed bunkers. In addition to the challenging round, the golf course offers stunning views of Pikes Peak, the Front Range, and the entire Colorado Springs skyline. At Pine Creek there is also a unique elevated, target-oriented grass driving range, a practice green, and a short game area.

A heavy frost covered the vegetation as the maintenance crews blew out the sprinkler system as we played. This is the tee box of # 11. Photo submitted by skibumcolorado on 11/21/2013
Great shape!
Course is in great shape. Enjoyed talking to Keith ( the starter) and getting to know him a bit. We played in less than 4 hrs. A twosome. My last review came out as “poor” which was incorrect. Course is in great shape, always enjoy the brats too!
Still a jewel
The price went up here a while ago and that was a real shame for financially challenged golfers like me.... It's such a jewel of a course with a challenging layout. The staff is super helpful, polite and professional. I got a hotdeal and played 18-- the course was in tip top shape!
Conditions are almost normal!!
Despite an unexpected shower that delayed the round about 30 minutes it provided some much needed water. It soften things up nicely!!
I usually try to find the hot deals, because they are reasonable for a round of golf, but the prices seemed to have gone up. Last year I was paying $10 less.. That is my only complaint..
Just 1 month ago the course was still suffering from a very tough winter. It appears that Pine Creek has made a nice investment back with heavy watering.
Good Times
I have played other public courses in Colorado Springs. This is by far the best. Greens and fairways were in great shape. The young man in the pro shop and the starter were very helpful. My friends and I will definitely be back to play this course again.
Still early in the season in Colorado. Course was in excellent condition with very little winter kill compared to the other courses I have played this year. Will definitely be back soon.
Better this Time
We played 18 holes in less than 4 hrs. Much better pace than last Monday, love the brats in the restaurant! Course is in great shape as usual!
Great early season condition,!
Fantastic course conditions for this early in the season. Greens rolled pretty true and held approaches well. Fairways were great with only a few areas still growing in from winter. Awesome challenge on this track!
Slow play, 5 hrs to play! Marshal didn’t say anything to group in front of us!
Best public course in Co Springs
I live a 1/2 mile from this course, so I have played it many times. The greens have grown in very nicely, almost summer ready. The fairways were still coming along, but with our rain season about to hit, it should be in great condition soon. Look for specials on Golf Now as $60.00 was a little pricey for this time of the season, enjoy
Colorado Gem
I play this course an average of 20 times a season. It's ALWAYS challenging, especially on high wind days. It's a really fun track and will hurt your pride quickly if you do not keep it in the fairway.
The course is coming along and the team are working hard to make this course better every season. Fairways are generally in quite good shape and they work hard to get the greens rolling fast by June. (I just wish they'd check up :)
The ONLY downside to PC is the lack of there being a really great place to eat and grab a drink after. Yes, there's a restaurant, but it's not "on par" with the course quality.
The head pro (Xander) is all about customer service and makes sure players know they are welcome.
Def love this place.
Not really ready yet...
Winter has taken it's toll on Pine Creek. Fairways were very dried out despite them watering and air rating them.. It looks like it still needs a month or two to recoverGreens still have too much sand on them to get an honest putt. I know they need to make money, but they should be charging a huge discount. Good thing it was a Hot Deals time!!!
Fun course
This was fun in that it had a lot of fairly open and intermediate holes, and a few really challenging ones. Hole #10 while not overly long will challenge you to hit it in the fairway. I didn't and doubled it.
Good course for the price
Conveniently located. We’ll spread out. Course conditions depend on the time of the year. Good value fun course.
Very nice golf course
Greens are good, excellent course conditions, friendly staff. Little slow but not bad.
Nice course for the winter
Very good course, winter time so it was really nice to play. Kind of frozen but what can you expect in January ?
