Great hometown course
What a fun track to play! Friendly staff, reasonable rates, and great food. I was pleasantly surprised when I checked out the clubhouse facility too. I will be back for sure.
Course was in good shape for this time of year.
Nice course, nice club house and staff was pleasing and answered all questions.
Tucked away from the hustle
Had a great time without the normal hustle. A couple of suprises on the course and some pretty views. Staff and players were very friendly...like being at home.
nice mountain views
nice mountain views- course needs to be marked where next hole is- confusing- staff was not friendly--good shape- a nice track to play
Very nice course I will play it again.
The course was in great shape with the exception of the greens. They had just been plugged and sanded a week before. You could tell that they were in good shape prior to the sanding. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Great scenery and staff.
This course is great for the 'not long' hitter. Greens are small, posing an additional challenge. Many different type of holes, which I like very much. Great scenery as well. Staff was awesome.
Beautiful course.
This is a beautiful course in amazing shape in spite of the crazy weather this summer. We played on a Tuesday and play moved well. Staff was super friendly and we felt welcome there. Can't wait to play the course again.
Course has a little bit of everything.
Very enjoyable place to play golf. Par 3 holes are sweet. Bettter than expected.
Good course, great views
Challenging course, but beware of rattlesnake nests
Great condition.
Rain has made the course awesome. The greens are ideal.
great value, very friendly staff, nice clubhouse with great views
We picked this course for the great price and early tee time. A bit of a drive from Colorado Springs, but we enjoyed the road trip for a day if golf in Canon City. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well as very appreciative that we made the drive. The course went public 2 years ago, so it seems that to be a bit undiscovered and therefore not over crowded like many courses in Colorado Springs. Many beautiful views, and the clubhouse has a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. Course was in very good shape, greens were well kept and had some challenging reads. Driving range was a bit different, and a natural setting rather than the typical wide open area and could benefit from expansion, but we were there to play and not to practice. We would definitely go back to play again.
Great views and scenery
Shadow Hills is a must play in this scenic
Canon City, CO location. The course was
well maintained and picturesque. Generous
driving area and fair greens. Water features
came into play along with strategic bunker
locations. The course had hosted a local
fundraising tournament prior to our tee time.
The driving range is rough but adequate. I
recommend this course if you are within a
100 miles. Worth the trip!
Hidden Gem
Saw six 5 point or larger bucks on 13 plus I shot a great round (74) so I would recommend this course!
Greens and fairways still need to fill in from winter kill
Tee boxes are bad. Greens are sanded and dead in spots. Fairways are hit and miss. Gnats and horse flies are bad.
In great shape for the drought we have.
Nice secenery, elevation changes, well layed out. Fast play
Nice course and fun to play.
First time playing Shadow Hills and had a great time. The course has a variety of challenging holes with elevated tee boxes and blind holes. The greens were in fair to good shape and the fairways were nice. The desert rough can swallow up the not so straight shots. The afternoon rain showers can make finishing 18 a little wet. Have fun.
This is a relatively short course on both par 4 and par 5 holes.
Our first time playing Shadow Hills. This is a good value, but the course could use some TLC. The par 4's and par 5's are relatively short for Colorado golfers, but the layout is interesting.
This couse was tough, especially the par 3's.
I liked the course. With the discount it was a great value. However, 1/2 of the greens were bumpy with winter kill. I'm sure in the next month it will be great.
