J. F. Kennedy Golf Center - West/Creek Course
About
The West/Creek Golf Course is one of four nine-hole courses at the J.F. Kennedy Family Golf Center. Three of the courses can be played in three 18-hole combinations, including the West/Creek course. This public course is another designed by renowned golf architect Henry Hughes in the Denver area. Opened in 1963, the course offers up to 6,759 yards of golf. The course features narrow fairways lined with trees and large, undulating greens. There are no water hazards in play but there are a few bunkers. The J.F. Kennedy Family Golf Center facility also boasts a pro shop and an on-site teaching pro as well as a putting green.

Creek #9 Tee Photo submitted by nmcnair on 09/05/2014
Punched Greens—-was not notified
I like this course but please note that the greens were punch the DAY before!
Goose poop
This is a good golf facility with lots of options. The Babe and Creek combo is an interesting layout. Almost like two different courses. Views of the front range are magnificent especially from the Babe. Today the greens were just average bumpy with unrepaired ball marks and areas of what looked like ground under repair and there was massive amounts of goose poop throughout course and especially on the greens. Not sure what they can do about that. Overall a good place to play.
Sandy greens and full rate
Putting on these greens is like Plinko from the Price is Right....should be discounted some.
Great course for the average golfer
Been playing here for 3 years.
Kennedy is a great place.
Course itself is open year-round. A calm winter will allow you to play into Jan. Feb. Apr.
The major gratification I get out of this Course, is the staff. The people that work here are human beings: from tee times to maintaining pace of play to good ol' small talk just generally friendly.
West: Good quick 9 holes, with limited challenges besides trees on both sides on each hole.
Babe: Little more interesting. With water, bunkers, river beds (sometimes with water in them), long fairways, its a good 9 when weather and everything cooperates.
Creek: Most underrated 9 in CO. Seriously. That's all I say.
John F Kennedy Golf Course
I have lived in Denver for over 20 years and Kennedy is one of my favorite local courses. It is not difficult but makes you think on your shots. I always enjoy my experiences playing at this muni course!
Kennedy
For a Muni course within the city limits of Denver, this place is a real gem.
Way too slow
It took us 2:40 to play first nine. Ten minutes between tee times is too short so every group was waiting on every hole. I will not go back
Decent but slow
4:30 minute round on a weekday. Everything else was pretty good. Creek side is in nice shape.
One of my favoirte course to play
This course is the best for the money. The greens are usually in exceptional shape, the fairways are great!
Weekend Hack
Fun track to play...0640 tee time and pace was slow. Will play again, but for lesser rate. There are a lot of options in the area that are much nicer, for the same price. Great staff
Good price
Overall solid course for reasonable price. Would have liked to know that greens were irragated.
Need a practice chipping green and nobody likes heading offelt Matt
Grass was a little long but I get it getting ready to plug on Monday
Solid for beginners and advanced players
I have had the fortunate pleasure of never having paid for a round of golf on any of their four courses (3 9-hole courses and 1 9-hole par 3 course), but having played all courses multiple times.
The state of the course, even during the hottest parts of the summer is generally in great shape. Greens are quite large and tend to be a bit slower than other courses, but certainly not terrible. Golfers tend to be terrible about fixing their divots and ball marks. Definitely walk the ground before you take your putt.
Fairways are generally wide and the creek side has a fair bid of undulation with several blind shots and hazards. There are several forced carries and some large elevation changes. Beginners might struggle a bit, but it should prove to be a fun course for advanced players.
My chief complaint with all four courses is the pace of play. It is glacially slow. The course is quite long and spread out, so if you are behind some walkers, try your very best to pass them. My rounds in a cart typically clock in just shy of 5 hours.
