Schaffer's Mill Club

Formerly known as Timilick Club, the course was renamed Schaffer’s Mill Golf Course in 2011 to commemorate George Schaffer, the man known as the “Father of Truckee.” The golf course resides in the beautiful Martis Valley where Schaffer first opened his saw mill. The course is surrounded my towering mountains and sprawls across a scenic landscape of grassy meadows abounding with tranquil lakes and meandering streams. Don’t let the magnificent views distract from the game though, this layout is no easy feat. There are a number of elevation changes and plentiful bunkers strategically placed throughout. There are also many interesting risk/reward opportunities that set the golf course apart as one of the best in the High Sierra.
