About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 2019. The land will be used for residential development.
Just 7 miles west of downtown Riverside, Paradise Knolls Golf Club tee times will open the door to an 18-hole, par 72, course that plays 6,281 yards from the back tees, and has a slope rating of 117. Designed by Bill Wood, and opened in 1964, the course uses a combination of tree-lined fairways and greenside bunkers to create a fun, and challenging day of golf. The signature hole at Paradise Knolls is the par 3, 12th hole, which plays 230 yards from the tips, and has a green, which slopes front to back, and left to right. There is also one small lake on the course, which sits greenside of the short par 4, 5th hole. The hole plays 275 yards from the back tees, enticing players to try to drive the green, which does have a small opening between the water and a front left bunker.
Many players have made good use of their Riverside golf deals at Paradise Knolls and in addition to the great golf enjoyed their instructional programs, run by PGA Professional staff, the large practice putting green, and their 2,500 sq. ft. clubhouse, which can accommodate up to 150 guests for banquets, tournaments, and weddings. Comments from others following their Riverside tee times paints a nice picture of their experiences at Paradise Knolls Golf Club, finding the course fun and enjoyable.

Last Day to play this golf course!
Paradise Knoll golf course is closing down tomorrow!
Busy Fun Day
Tiny greens have always protected this course but with the dormant grass around them, they looked even tinier than usual. Good conditions throughout (great greens) except for a few tee boxes that absolutely must be leveled. Shame on the greens keepers for ignoring two huge humps for some time now. Lots of players today and a great senior deal was the reason as well as a perfect sunny day. Overall it’s a good, fun course with good conditions (except for those tee boxes........come on now, a little effort will go a long way).
Does it matter?
The course is closing at the end of the month.
Which is sad. It’s a forgiving course with exception of the greens! Those are some of the hardest green I’ve played on as far as reads and speed. Only three par 3’s, 12th hole is a ‘Big Boy’ par 3, yikes! My wife and I have played this course 4 times. The last two visits were some of the most frustrating & irritating rounds we’ve had! Sooooo slow!! And our last visit we followed a foursome that moved as slow as molasses in the freezing cold. No courtesy what so ever. Oh well, place is closing. C’est la vie.
Great Course Being Lost
Fairways and greens in excellent shape. Course is fairly wide in places making play somewhat free from lost balls. Cost of round at $23.97 was an excellent bargain. Unfortunately, the course is closing at the end of year, supposedly to make room for another housing tract. Too bad. Course is beautiful with several sloping fairways and old trees.. Doubt the housing tract will be as spectacular.
Great place to golf and super value
Excellent greens but a lot of gur areas from heavy play traffic
Sunday Funday
Perfect weather, but caught up to a fivesome that was 3 holes behind the next group. Made for a slow day but the weather was incredible. I'd appreciate if the Marshal could notify groups if they are far behind. One good thing about having no groups ahead of the 5 some is that I could slice it into fairways ahead of them and not worry about people teeing off.
Additionally picked up a sand rake on the hole 9 and it was covered in fire ants... ouch.
Thanks paradise knolls for being a great beginner course.
my only complaint is that the greens are too hard. It would be nice if they were wetter
Course extremely challenging today due to the high winds
Today's weather conditions made it extremely difficult..at times there were very high velocity wind gusts. Knowing that, it made playing frustrating when ball is blown off green when attempting a 5-6 foot putt. It certainly made for an exciting round of golf.
Poor condition
Tee boxes are challenging, fairways are rough, and you can’t get a true bounce from the edge of the greens because the grass is so thick. The price was cheap but I won’t play this course again.
Great course for the value
Nice course, good condition, friendly staff and a hot dog on the turn.
Minor problems
The sand refill bottles on #14 were all soaking wet and unusable. Man in front of me left pins on angles damaging lips of hole. Someone used WD40 on door for some reason and I opened it it just slip out of my hand. Lucky I did not hurt it
Worth the drive
I've played Paradise four time in the last few months. The greens have been stellar, but are showing wear as summer is bringing more players. The pace of play bottlenecks at the turns, so our group played the front nine twice for the last two rounds. The last round we played was our first on a weekend. Way too congested. We come out from OC to play the Corona area courses because they are worth the drive. Good value.
Overbooked
Golf course was overbooked and played extremely slow
