Grounds were completely soaked, some areas were a mud pit. Also some work being done which caused some additional off limit areas.
Course could be beautiful
This could be the nicest course around but it’s not kept up well enough. The fairways are dry and don’t get watered enough, same with the rough. Other parts don’t get mowed enough. Greens are perfect tho.
Fun times with friends
Brought my nephew Nolan and his fourteen year old son Bugsy to play the course. They love it and wish they could play it again before they leave next week!
Course was in decent shape.front nine has a couple holes with beat up fairways.back 9 was in good shape greens are coming in good but need a mow
Overall I would return
Slow greens
Overall, The course is cool, and supposedly it has undergone a lot of renovation, and restoration. Conditions were not ideal, but the hot deal of $22 was equitable.
Most fairways-8/10.
Rough was like-4/10.
Bunkers-4/10 (some were no sand and just weeds. others had been filled with sand. A for effort).
Teeing areas were nice-9/10.
Greens were beautiful but were very slow when we played. You had to hit it through the break to reach the hole-6/10.
Cool water features and hills and great layout 9/10.
Rio Vista
Nice course, very impressed with the overall value. Greens were tight and trim. Great layout, a hidden gem.
Needs TLC
This course could be a great course if properly brought back to it's former state. Fairways are in desperate need of maintenance and repair. The sand traps have been upgraded but T boxes and fairways have been neglected for a long time.
Greens were decent.
The rest of the course is a sick joke. Tee boxes are a joke. Fairways are a joke. There’s more goose poop than grass on this course.
Needs help
This course needs serious help. The layout is great. However its been severely neglected. There is sand in most of the sand traps but some are wet and hard from water intrusion. Fairways are pitiful greens recently punched but starter neglected to mention that they were. Grass is high enough to hide the golf ball. Not good maintenance. Overall with some quality work on the course it has potential to be outstanding.
SAVE YOUR MONEY & DRIVE TIME
First off, upon your approach to the parking lot & club house. Hole #18 looked ok.
The only bright spot to the entire round were the greens.
They were a little above average.
Being a Del Webb community this was the poorest conditioned course I've ever played .
Before booking I called the pro shop directly to ask about
overall conditions .The lady that answered my call said they were very good (Lie).Hit with hard rain Sunday & Monday Sept.18th & 19th. Didn't play until Sunday the 25th.
Every Fairway had lots weeds & hard pan dirt.
The Bunkers were terrible.
Was eaten alive by either mosquitos or knats
Until they make major repairs to this course "Golf Now" shouldn't even list it on their website.
Thanks Dean L.
Terrible course conditions
90% of this course is in complete disarray. Dirt, holes, cracks in the ground everywhere including all over the fairways. Almost no sand in the bunkers and were hard packed. Greens were okay. Course could be very nice if it was maintained but likely won’t come back.
Staff was nice and friendly though.
Course is being renewed
The course has been very neglected but is under new management and is slowly on the up. I believe the course would be very fun once it has been rejuvenated.
Lost a fair amount of balls that landed on the fairway due to the amount of exposed dirt and lack of grass. Luckily the greens weren’t neglected and were actually good.
The staff was incredibly friendly and I had a good time overall, but had I paid full price to play a round I would’ve been upset due to the course conditions.
Their website shows a beautiful course but the photos are unfortunately old and the course no longer looks that way.
I wish the staff and the course my best, I hope they can turn the place around for the better
Needs attention
Putting greens great. Fairways abysmal . Needs some serious attention. They are working to improve conditions.
.
Good greens
This course has very nice greens. Fairways not so much. They are working on improving the situation. But right now it's not up to a standard golf course.
