Tucked away in the Pittsburg foothills, Delta View Golf Club offers exactly what its name implies, beautiful views of the Delta as well as Mount Diablo in the background. The course originally opened as a nine-hole layout in 1947 but it was lengthened to an 18-hole course in 1991. The rolling terrain allows for elevated tees and undulating greens that make it feel longer than the 6,317 yards indicated on the scorecard. The numerous dogleg fairways and abundance of mature trees also add to the illusion of length. Delta View Golf Club's signature hole comes halfway through the course on the par-3 ninth. This demanding hole requires a carry over water to a green that slopes from back to front. You can make up for any mistakes on the next hole, a par 4 that offers a good birdie opportunity.

Course looks great
I took a couple of buddies out with me. I play here a lot. We teed off at 8:30 in the morning the course was beautiful the greens are in great shape. We had a great time playing. It was fun. Pace a play was perfect.
Great Value using Hot Deal
This is a fun course with not many gimme holes, you have to play well or you’ll lose some balls. I lost several. Greens were challenging, but not crazy tough. Fairways were a bit ragged and patchy but certainly playable - hey, it’s a muni course after all. I loved the layout - fun elevations, several dog legs, a few water or waste area carries, and some spectacular views. Went twice on $17 Hot Deals and it was well worth it.
Delta View Review
DV is a fun, challenging course. Compared to some of the "better" courses I've played of late, DV is in as good or better condition. Especially considering the rate. Typically it is windy there, but it makes some of the holes much more fun when it is at your back. Staff is always very friendly.
The course has a good layout.
Second time playing the course in about seven years. The golf shop staff very helpful and professional. Enjoyed the challenge of the course layout and hazards. The greens are in good shape and challenging. Look forward to playing the course more in the near future.
Fun beginner or quick outing course
Went with a first timer and an close to first timer, it was a nice open course, with a great pace of play as the golfers are more relaxed. Had a great time and although the course was a bit on the easier side, it had great little challenges to hone your game on with som long twisting fairways and plenty of hazards and hills to challenge accuracy and shorter irons.
Why fivesomes?
We started about 8am and finally finished about 1:30pm probably because of the 2 fives ones in the 4 groups ahead of us. The course isn't bad but marshaling is.
Working Hill game
Great place to come play during the week with friends
Good value with a bit of challenge
I play DV several times a month from the blues. I think of it as a good place to practice, that is in fair condition, presenting a reasonable challenge and a good deal for the money. Tee boxes are mostly in good condition (#1, 11, 15 & 18 need attention). Fairways are usually well cut, with an acceptable number of spots that should be marked as ground-under-repair. The rough is just that - rough, making missed shots a challenge to find. Bring a few extra balls. Almost every sand trap needs major attention, as they are still suffering from the extensive rains of February/March. Greens tend to roll well, which is surprising given the hodgepodge of grasses growing there. I like the diversity of the DV layout; more than half the holes make you think before hitting your normal driver off the tee. I have walked the course many times, but it is definitely NOT FLAT. Caution, DV does not play well after several days of rain, and needs about a week to dry out. It can also be a serious challenge on a windy day. I am fan of the practice options at DV. I think they have the only driving range in the North Bay with grass tees. (Does Shadow Lakes even count?), even thought those grass tees can get pretty beat up and, the mounds/dips and long grass of the range make shot tracking tough. The putting green is usually in good shape with some nice elevation changes for challenge. It is not a huge putting green, but I seldom find more than 3-4 people using it. One more plus is that the green can be used for pitching practice (but be sure to repair any ball marks). There is a sand trap for practice, but it is in need of sand and maintenance just like its on-course siblings. The staff at DV are always helpful and in a good mood. If you play in the afternoons, don’t be surprised to find them down to one staff person who is serving drinks, range balls and tee times from behind the bar. The pro shop and bar offer limited options, but the beer is always cold and the hot dogs juicy. If you haven’t tried DV in a while, put it on your list.

Issues with golf cart
We had to wait to get golf carts. The issue was because they didnt have golf cart keys so we had to wait untill keys were turned in. Staff told that people kept on taking keys home with them. I think it is the golf course responsibility to make sure they have enough keys. This issue has started since they have started to ask $3 as key deposit. Before when there was no deposit, never had issues with key shortage.
Apart from that the golf course is in decent shape and green are good.
Great Greens!
The course was in good condition & the pace of play was great!
The greens were in great condition and were very fast!
