There are actually two courses here that go beyond the usual resort course character. The Ted Robinson -designed Palms Course is one of the architect's favorite instances of his waterscapes. Robinson loves to use water to make a course stand out from the pack and he does it throughout the Palms Course at Marriott Desert Springs in Palm Desert.
"You'll get that watery flavor as soon as you drive onto the property," TravelGolf.com's Jeffrey Rendall said. "To your left is the par three third hole, complete with a multi-tiered waterfall and rocks accenting the tumbling waters. To your right you'll notice the 15th and 16th holes with an impressive amount of wet stuff there too. The aquatic theme is well represented all around."
