Famed Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, known as "Hogan's Alley" because of Ben Hogan's success there, dates back to 1926. The golf course was designed by George C. Thomas Jr. with help from Alister MacKenzie and William Bell. Known for its par-3 sixth hole with a bunker in the middle of the green, Riviera C.C. has served as backdrop for several movies and its membership has included Hollywood's elites such as Humphrey Bogart, Dean Martin, Gregory Peck and Peter Falk.
